Sad to see that they have retired and closed their doors. We will miss them. The Sunset was a local institution for over three decades.

Sucks it's closing. First time going tonight and if it wasn't closing it would be a favorite for date night. The food was spectacular. I was thoroughly impressed. Ate in the outdoor seating which was beautiful. The smell as you walk in and especially as plates are brought to tables makes your mouth water! And delicious can't begin to describe the food. Melt in your mouth brisket, pulled pork that's to die for, and yummy wings. The smokey flavor is out of the world ? super sad to see it closing. Praying someone will take over and keep it as amazing as it was tonight.

We got take out from them, the Mac and cheese and the brisket. We were originally told 25 minutes, but ended up having to wait about 50 minutes to pick up the food. Not great when there isn't much parking at all there.The Mac and cheese was supposed to come with a salad, but it was not included in our to go order. The meal itself was just boiled pasta with barely any cheese at all. For the price, this was pretty upsetting to only eat boiled pasta...The Brisket was ok, the cornbread lacked any taste at all.Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. Stowe has so many good restaurants, this does not make the cut. Sunset Grille really has to change to meet the quality of the restaurants in the area and not just coast on the fact that they're open later than other restaurants.

Burger Day is a great deal, staff were extremely accommodating. Absolutely delicious. Shame to see such a lovely business shut down.

We were fortunate to be able to eat outside at this fun restaurant with a volleyball pit in the backyard. We had delicious salmon tacos for dinner with the best aioli sauce. The service was great as well. We very much enjoyed our one dinner in Stowe. I just saw on their website that they have closed until further notice. I hope this is short term!

This place was good. The food was good, not great. The atmosphere was great. Sat on patio, and tables were far apart and not too close. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Scallops, Onion Rings, Ribs, Wings, Salad, Mac and Cheese, and a burger.

Don't usually write bad reviews but sorry their food just wasn't good. I don't understand how a restaurant that is supposedly known for their bbq to be so bad at bbq. Had their baby back ribs, they must boil them and flash grill them, not the way a legitimate bbq restaurant should do them. Bbq sauce seemed like a mixture of ketchup and hot sauce, weird. I think they might have a smoker, we could smell it from the parking lot, but they can't be using it to smoke their food which is also weird. Rest of party had non bbq items and they weren't very good either. Service was good, server was very friendly but doesn't make up for bad food. This restaurant was located right across from our vacation accomodations and there were a lot of cars in the parking lot so we assumed the food must be good there, but believe me it wasn't.

Traveler beware! We stopped because looked decent place to grab a bite. We were seated outside which was nice but the menu was filthy. The waiter copped a major attitude after our first encounter. Slamming all the drinks down and walking away without a word. Ordered (2) 6 orders of wings they were really tiny.. sauce was great but that alone cost me $25.... listen I know it's hard times I took into consideration many times before writing this. Our food came they forgot one of my daughters sides for her ribs, they looked pre frozen and weirdly no meat on them at all. My other two kids had chicken fingers which is 2 strips and fries. Between us and the kids they had ribs, (minus one of the sides) 2 chicken strip baskets, nachos (no meat) and 12 wings....my bill was $125...to say I was shocked is an understatement. Went down the road the following night had apps, drinks, full meals for all 5 of us and it was less and I had leftovers and was clean and friendly service!
Food was great, pulled pork was great and the dry rub wings were perfect. Service was great and will definitely go back.

What a great spot! Kind of tucked away from the main drag, but still bursting at the seems. Despite that, every single employee was hustling like crazy & doing their nest to keep up with the crazy crowd. Nothing was outstanding but everything was great, if that makes sense. I had ribs, wings & rings - hit the spot! My wife had a salad. Again, not anything different but enjoyable with great dressing & she really liked the brisket on the side. Excellent drinks & again, amazing service! Wish I'd gotten the name of the newlywed you g man who waited on us. He was fabulous!! And his new bride also works here.

We had a huge party for my daughters sweet 16 and our waitress was so great !!! She dealt with all of our extraness:) and did it with a smile the whole time !!!! Thanks for the great night and the hard work !!!! Food was so great too and didn't even take long for how busy they were and our party size !!!
