My husband took me here after we got married last year and it has become my favorite place to eat. This is our go to for any special occasion. The owner Tony is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable the second you walk through the door. The staff is all amazing as well. Real classic Italian food and it’s always cooked perfectly.

Really friendly service, fresh tomato marinara sauces, outstanding mushroom ravioli, and appropriate portion sizes.

Overpriced mediocre food. On arrival 8 pm evening, hostess seated us out in cold saying reservations are a must for indoor and all tables inside are booked. After some time in the cold, when we were about to leave - she allowed us inside. 50 % of tables were empty and in @ 10 minutes barely 20 % of the tables were occupied. Place to avoid.

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful dinner here on a long weekend Stowe getaway in February. We live an hour away in Chittenden county and will definitely make the drive back here for dinner again. The wine selections are outstanding and the staff and service are exceptional.

They advertise home made pasta but it's not. They charge for high end plates but they are basically just ok. But the worst part was the charge for the basket of bread. $4. But wait for it....$2 to refill the basket. Salt and pepper are the same packets you get from McDonald's. They tell you it's because of Covid but every other restaurant has offered us real shakers. It was Just not worth the $480 we spent for 6 people ($399 plus tip). And 2 of our guests didn't drink. And we didn't purchase any bottles of wine. They did have a nice fine wine list. But this place wasn't the kind of place you'd get a $300 bottle of fine wine. The dessert was really good tho! But the pesto was from a jar. So goin knowing it's not cheap and mediocre.

Absolutely wonder, quaint, and romantic restaurant. Staff was meticulous, helpful, and friendly. Food was to die for, delicious, large portions meant we took home enough food for another dinner.Apple crisp was excellent and my chocolate-fanatic daughters skipped their chocolate and ate my dessert!

Always come here every time we visit Stowe! I recommend making a reservation, covid or not as they are a popular place. We started off with the burrata which comes with some picked veggies and spreads. 10/10. I got the eggplant parm with fettuccine which was bomb. My fiancé got the Michelangelo with spaghetti. He liked it and would get it again. We got the tiramisu for dessert, it was good but not the best we've had. The service and ambience is exactly what you expect in a cute town like Stowe. Can't wait to visit again and carbo load :)

Great place with delicious food and excellent service. We had veal Marsala and chicken parm with pasta. All was very good. The best part was a tiramisu - very fluffy, light and juicy. The waiter was very helpful and polite. The service was quick. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Not sure why everyone is raving about this place. Hands down the worst Italian food I have ever eaten. Frozen food just heated up in microwave. My husband and I couldn’t finish our meals it was actually nauseating. I am so confused as to how this place is getting such good reviews.

I don't often leave reviews, but I have to do so with Trattoria La Festa! My friend Amy and I come to Stowe every year for the arts and foliage festival. While we are here we love to eat at a few different places. Well, due to covid this year it is very hard to find a place to eat without a reservation. We decided to stop at Trattoria, because of the beautiful setting. Even without a reservation we were seated immediately on the lovely porch.I have to say from the moment we were greeted at the door until the very last bite of our meal, we were taken care of in a prompt and professional manner. It has been a long time since either of us has gotten such good service.Thank you so much for a wonderful meal. We will be back next year.

Look, here's the thing - yes, you cannot do better than Trattoria La Festa for dinner in the Stowe area. But here's the pitfall - let's say you order the Pescatore (they recommend it with ziti, although you can get it with any of their amazing pastas). So, they bring you this delicious dish and you start eating and you keep eating because it is so delicious. The portion is huge, so if you keep going, you're not going to have room for dessert. Big mistake. The Tartuffo is the best dessert in Stowe, possibly the best in New England (I haven't had every dessert in New England, but nobody's topped it yet). It is worth the trip to Trattoria all by itself. My advice: when the Pescatore comes to your table, ask for a box immediately. Put 3/4 of the dish into the box and take it home. Eat the other 1/4 or so, leaving plenty of room for the Tartuffo. If you're still hungry afterwards, break out the leftovers when you get home. It's a win/win/win-later situation. I haven't even gotten to the ambiance and personal attention we always get at Trattoria - Tony is so welcoming and friendly, and Brian and Andy are nonpareil when it comes to service, and they've been working there for a long time, so you can rely fully on their recommendations. All around, a great experience every time.
