Worst dining experience and food I've ever eaten. Food was served burnt blank. Absolutely gross. Paid $40 and had to throw it all out. Atmosphere- religious preaching blasting on the radio while we waited over an hour for the burnt meal.

She makes everything fresh so expect a 20-30 minute wait. There is an online order that you can do (highly recommend) to cut down the wait time. The food is hit or miss depending on the day. Sometimes there's too much salt or not nearly enough (which makes sense because there's one person cooking everything fresh). The fried plantains and the sweet corn tamales are the best. Highly recommend getting a mixed pupusa (it's not on the menu but she'll make it). The dumplings are also good. The restaurant is quite homey with toys on sale (kind of like a thrift store) on the side and 8 tables in the middle.

First time at this Salvadoran restaurant. We had pupusas and Salvadoran enchiladas with the eggs, and they were great. The tortillas they used were thick, chewy and crispy, delicious! Also got a Pollo meal, it was basic but delicious. Highly recommend trying this place out. I

I had no idea what a pupusas was but I ordered some and they were amazing! The son took my order and the mom sprinted to the back and started slapping things around like I was the most important customer of the day! Turns out pupusas is awesome and they give you this spicy salad with a to go order. Eat it slowly because it's brain melting spicy! Bottom line: I will be there again tomorrow and many more times in the future to try different things!

It's hard to rate a place that I've been to once. So just for this visit I'm giving it for stars for service and yumminess lol. Papusas take awhile to make so if you're eating here for lunch at work I would order ahead. The lady( sweetheart) did warn us that it would be fifteen minutes which is ok because it was a Friday lite day lol. I will go again and then have a better review

Located in Auburn, WA. Cute little mom and pop place. I actually came over because I placed a Wish order and it got sent here. Decided to order some dinner for the family. The owner, Norma, sweet little lady is from South America and explained some of the favorites on the menu. She also makes the Jamaica (hibiscus drink), Tamarindo , Fruit punch all in house and not from the pouch mix sold in other grocery stores. Which is a plus for me because less sweeteners. I ordered 10 of the chicken tamales and she included a few vegetable tamales to try. I ordered fried plantains. Everything was very subtle. A piece of banana leaf for flavor. Nice size. Not spicy and I can taste the delicate flavors. The vegetable tamales had refried beans. ✅. The chicken tamales had green beans, chicken. That’s all that I could decipher ?. Order your food ahead of time because it will take 30 minutes to steam. I watched a cooking show while I waited on the TV and Norma occasionally came out to see what they were creating. Half of the restaurant held Knick knacks to purchase and the other had 5 tables for patrons to dine at. I would gladly return and order again.

I went to Toyota to get my car serviced. Decided to look for a bite to eat. Sure glad I stopped at Cielo Restaurant. The food did. It disappoint. I got 3 pupusas revueltas with some juice. This restaurant is family-owned and operated and the owners are extremely friendly!Hoping to bring the whole family next time.

The folks at Cielo are very friendly, but the food was not great today. I tried to call to order ahead, but could not get through. This is unfortunate as it took 35 minutes for my order. The oxtail soup was generous and had many veggies and a fair amount of meat (not all tail though). The Papusas (one mushroom and bean, one chicken and cheese) were good but not great. There was much less cheese than the last time I went here. The Platanos were incredibly dry and hard. So hard we could not eat them. Such a disappointment. The plantains came with a bread that was half soft and moist, and half dry and hard. It was as if this dish was under a heat lamp all day. I hate to leave a bad review for such nice folks, but I need to be honest in my review.

This is a hidden gem tucked away in a business park. Look for the large power transmission structures and perhaps approach from the east instead of Auburn Way for easier traffic. The service is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is clean, albeit a little unusual having a small retail shop on one side. No booths, but several chairs and tables, seems ideally suited for the lunch crowd. We ordered 4 kinds of pupusa, a side of Casamiento rice-bean dish, and two desserts - Torreja which is a sweet french toast slice and Quesadia which is a cheese based savory cake. This was plenty of food for two people and in the future I would probably order 2-3 per person.Everything was hot and fresh and uniquely flavored as we had not tried Salvadoran food before. There wasn't anything we found unpleasant by American palate standards. We tried Loroco in one of the pupusas, it tasted something like asparagus and was a fun new thing to try. I don't know what is in the Hawaiian flavor, but it was our least favorite contrary to some other reviews. The red salsa was delicious and mild, and the cabbage served on the side was quite spicy and flavorful. It took 30 minutes to prepare everything for two people, so be sure to order with time to spare. We ordered takeout and everything was packed in styrofoam or metal trays, and a paper bag, utensils optional. We did have difficulty ordering through their website, but they were happy to take a phone order, and allowed up to 3 ingredients per pupusa. This was a fun first experience with this kind of food and we will be back again!
