This is our go-to for take-out Thai food. The portions, quality and pricing are all great. We've ordered a variety of dishes and I can't say that we've been disappointed with anything. The Tom Kah Kai, Yellow Curry, and of course, Pad Thai are favorites that we keep coming back to. We often order extra pork or chicken with our dish for only $2!

Genuinely spicy Thai food in a casual environment at reasonable prices. We really enjoyed our dinner here even though the AC wasn't working and service was slow.

My wife and I have been eating out here for years. We love Thai food and order exclusively from Koong Thing when they are open. But, sometimes we get a craving for it on Sunday when Koong Thong is closed, so that’s when we try different Thai restaurants. No place has curry that is even close to how good Koong Thongs is. We’ve eaten at Koong Thong three times in one week before. My wife and I both love the red chicken curry and beef pad se ew. I sometimes get prawn yellow curry.I tried curry from a different Thai restaurant today and only ate half before I just wanted to pour it down the drain. The only down side to Koong Thong is that it’s not always consistent. I (once) received yellow curry that was watery and didn’t seem to have coconut milk in it. Sometimes we get rice with a dish and other times we don’t receive rice. The next time we will pay for rice because we didn’t get rice with the same order previously and then get double rice. Also, the spice is sometimes inconsistent, but we don’t mind that because we assume it’s because they use fresh peppers which can fluctuate greatly in heat. Just beware if your sensitive to spice. I love spice that hurts going in and coming out but my wife like a much more mild level of spice. I’ve had 5 stars that I could hardly finish and some that tasted like 3 stars. My wife has had 3 stars they taste like 5 stars or 0 stars. Regardless of the heat is right though, it’s always delicious.Lastly, the owner is very friendly and this is a nice family owned local place. In the 5-6 years we’ve been eating here, I have never seen someone else working the front desk. I’ve been in when it’s dead and when it’s slammed and he’s obviously stressed.Highly recommend.

I had the red curry (substituted tofu for chicken) and my husband had the chicken phad Thai. They were both yummy. We will definitely be returning. The atmosphere could be improved but the food was so good. We came back and tried the Cashew Nut and Masumum Curry. They were both delicious!

This place looks small but it's interior is pretty authentic and most importantly it is clean! we had the Shrimp Fried Rice and the #19 Pad Thai and it was authentic and delicious. A bit spicy but very good.

Best Thai food in town, I have been going here for at least 20yrs Cashew chicken is my favorite. Chicken pad Thai and chicken satay are delicious and of course the fried rice. Family run and the owner always knows my order when I call in. Love it!

We had dinner here for the first time and it was excellent ! Food was very tasty and the portions are very generous... I will definitely recommend this restaurant. I had the drunken noodles with squid and it was delicious, we also ordered curry rice and mix veggies with seafood . Every dish was very well spiced and fresh and very well cooked. We will be back here for sure & very soon!

I absolutely LOVE this place! I've been going for at least the last 15 years, and the owner always remembers me. The food is amazing, and when you request spicy they really deliver!

Love this place. Been going there for years. My grandsons mother is Thai and I always share pictures of my grandson. Not to mention the food is the best I've had outside of Bangkok, Ao Nang and Udon Thani.

Great Thai food at an even better price. Serving sizes are generous and the flavor is great! My go to dishes are the beef curry fried rice and the drunkard noodles! All of their dishes are quite authentic!

Having never had Thai food before we were apprehensive about dining here. Especially when walking into the place and well let's just say the atmosphere is not very appealing or clean. But our favorite chinese food place was like that as well. The food was good. I didn't care for the dish my wife had but mine was excellent. My wife enjoyed hers and said it was very good. Our friends just raved about their dinners.

The best restaurant in Auburn hands down. They've been around since I was a kid. The building use to be a Taco Time branch but went out of business. Gladly, they got hold of this place and made it what it is. Amazing food, good price, and a full stomach. I appreciate Koong Thong for being here all these years. Good people run this place and the efforts they put into their business reflects that. The pad Thai and yellow curry are my two favorites.

I've been here several times lately and almost everything was excellent. I would recommend the curry fried rice most of all, while the phad thai and curries are also great skip the salty beef (overcooked/tough) and panang (there's only meat and sauce..?). I love the fact the dishes are around $10, which is cheap for the area, the portions are large and the spice level is accurate (4 or 5 stars is very hot!). No major issues and I'll keep returning!

Way too spicy at a 3. Couldn’t even enjoy the food. Order panang curry and only chicken was in it- usually you get peppers or shoots or other veggies. That was disappointing. Pad Thai was greasy and way too spice for a 3. Asked for extra peanuts and it was like they put the whole jar of peanuts on it and no lime. Lime makes the flavors come out. Disappointed with the lack of detail on those things and the spice profile being so strong and I usually do well with 3 out of 5. I won’t be back for my Thai fix.
