This is one of those places that ticks all the boxes and gives you an unforgettable experience. The attention to detail with every aspect: greetings, service, food, drink, atmosphere; all were tended to with great care and love for the art.We went for our wedding anniversary which happens to also be my birthday. We went in *expecting* an extravagant meal, and we were still absolutely blown away. The views alone are breathtaking. Pair that with the best service and food I've ever received, and you're still just touching the surface of what they offer at Ascend. Even their bread service is worth chatter. We've already decided this is our forever spot for our anniversary moving forward. Can't wait to try one of their Holiday Prix Fixe celebrations. Thanks so much to everyone there, especially our servers, for giving us an unforgettable experience to talk about for years to come.

The place was great. It has an amazing view. We sat right at the window looking to the west. I got the porterhouse and my wife got the filet. The flavor of both was good, mine was overcooked. We also got the potatoes and fries. They gave us the Skyfall dessert because we were celebrating our 20th anniversary.

Good steak, great deserts. For some reason service to our table was very slow. Water, drinks, ordering main dishes took a long time.Wheelchair accessibility: Ascent is on 13th floor. From parking to getting to the restaurant requires switching elevators.

My family went there to celebrate my son's 21st birthday on 03/12. On 03/15 my both sons and my wife developed food poisoning symptoms, vomiting, upset stomach, pain , fever. My son is a student at UW and we picked him from the campus, went to the restaurant to celebrate his birthday and dropped him back at the UW campus after we finished our dinner without stopping anywhere else. My two sons and my wife ordered salad and I didn't. They all got food poisoning and developed the symptoms the same time, while my older son was still at the UW campus. I wish I could give them the benefit of the doubt, but all facts point to the Ascend restaurant. The only common place we ate together was Ascend restaurant. It is unacceptable to pay $600 dollars for a dinner and get food poisoning. I wonder if more guests have been affected. They could share their experiences too. I am definitely not going back to Ascend no matter how fancy it is.

Food, service and ambience were wonderful. We were here for a birthday celebration. Matt was our waiter and he was excellent and very accommodating, making recommendations to make our meal and experience very enjoyable. My father in law ordered a glass of beer and my mother in law wanted to try. Matt brought a new beer glass full of beer for her, free of charge. The ambience was very nice. We could get a 360 view of Seattle, lake Washington and Bellevue sitting at our table. We were surprised that not many families came. The restaurant had an excellent kids menu at affordable prices. And my two kids loved the food (edamame, fries, seared king salmon and petite filet steak medium well). Adult dishes we recommend: king salmon roll, bone marrow, foie gras, wagyu filet mignon, sautéed mushrooms as side, chocolate mushroom as dessert.Food and drink plus tax plus tips came to about $100 per person, so it wasn’t crazy expensive. A good price for special celebrations. The only shortcoming of my dinner was the wine. I and my wife were surprised by the small amount of wine we got by the glass. For $25 per glass, we did expect more. This was standard for steakhouse, and it didn’t cost much to pour more per glass.Overall we were satisfied with the experience and will come back for sure. Recommend to ask for smart to be your waiter!

Overall the experience was good. The food was as expected, good quality and cooked well with flavor. The part where I was disappointed is that we had a reservation and I notated it with the preference of having a window seat, which was the biggest factor into why I went here. I noticed there was a table next to us that was available but was told it was reserved. I get that. I have been in the industry before. However, we had a reservation set and we wanted a window seat as well. We were there beforehand and got seated at a table that could potentially fit 6 people. Everything was fine until I noticed that no one ever sat at the table by the window. Mind you, it’s about 9:30pm, close to closing time. Not only was there that table by the window, but there was 3 total by the windows that no one occupied. I had a good time but noticing that those seats remained available throughout the night definitely wasn’t the best feeling considering that was the reason I picked Ascend.

An Elevated Experience at Ascend RestaurantAscend Restaurant is not just an upscale dining destination; it’s a venue with the most stunning view in the area. Celebrating my wife’s birthday here was made extraordinary by the impeccable service of Brian and Carlos. Their recommendations and attentiveness added a personal touch to our evening. The cuisine was exceptional, each dish a testament to the culinary artistry of the chefs. But it was the warmth and professionalism of our hosts that truly set Ascend apart, ensuring our special occasion was as beautiful as the view.Thank you, Ascend, for an evening we’ll always treasure.

What I love most about this restaurant is the views you get of Bellevue. The service staff is all very young, and kind of gives me JOEY restaurant staff vibes. My last experience here was a week ago, out celebrating a friends birthday. We just wanted to grab some drinks from the bar area. A friend of ours ordered a drink off the menu, and wanted to REMOVE the brandy from her drink. We were told by our server that they are unable to make any "substitutions" from the drinks on their menu. I'm confused by this unless their drinks are somehow pre-made. We were provided no other explanation, but they clearly have a well stocked bar with an assortment of alcohol. For a restaurant you're going to be spending a lot of money at, this was certainly a very strange response. I'd rather spend my money at a more well established restaurant of the same caliber than return to Ascend. I am not overly impressed.

Service was great, very knowledgeable and attentive. We got to sit by the window which is what we requested. food is plated and presented well which is very attractive and set the tone for the entire restaurant but i would say that the taste of the food are a lil bit lacking for its price. Over-all it was a good one time experience.

Truly exceptional for a steak & sushi restaurant. From the ambiance, to the fire pits with casual seating around it and the appetizers paired with their wine & cocktail selections, I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT to come back and try other items. This is a must visit for cocktails and appetizers if you visit. It's only 25 minutes from downtown Seattle!Swanky hip spot with a killer view (if the sky is clear)!Highly recommend.

Located on the 31st floor, you get to see all of Seattle and the skyline around it. Wonderful atmosphere and vibe. Wanted for nothing as the service was top tier. Casual dress to formal was allowed and made dining more fun.

The service, food and atmosphere we’re definitely five star. The reason I’m leaving a 2 star is they definitely measure and weigh everything out. I had a $600 bill. I left feeling like I could of eaten more. I usually eat extremely small portions and get full really easily because I’ve had stomach surgery, My boyfriend left the restaurant feeling hungry still. He hit up Dick’s on the way home. At $600 you should be rolling us both out of the restaurant.. I’ve gone to other steak places where the steak is just as good and I leave filling extremely full and I usually share a plate with my partner. You definitely get quality, but it’s not worth the value. We ordered 2 steaks, scallops and 2 pieces of Salmon sushi. I got 4 scallops for $62. We didn’t order drinks.
