We've had several large family get togethers at Gourmet Sichuan. The staff was gracious and able to accommodate our seafood requests with precoordination. Food was delicious. Service was very nice too. Have been wanting to try out the menu on a normal occasion. Tonight, we tried the Kung Pao chicken, pea vines with garlic and house special chow mein. Very upscale Chinese. Our first time here. The waiter took away our menus and returned with the "American" menu. He said the other one was the "traditional" menu, with things on it we wouldn't like such as chicken and duck chopped up with the bones. We wanted to try the hot pot, with fish and shrimp and our choice of veggies. It was excellent, but watch out! It's really spicy! One bite of cabbage nearly did me in. Best place for Mapo Tofu! I get it everytime. But everything else I’ve tried on the menu is just as good. Servers are really nice even if English isn’t the best. Food always comes out quick even when there are lots of people. Always a positive experience here.
