4.5John Howie Steak | Bellevue @johnhowiesteakJohn Howie Steak in Bellevue provides a luxurious dining experience marked by attentive service and delectable flavors. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and guided through an evening of culinary delights. To kick off our meal, we enjoyed a variety of warm bread from the bread basket, setting the stage for what was to come. Our server surprised us with a refreshing soup as a palate cleanser, a thoughtful touch that enhanced our dining experience. For appetizers, the French onion soup was a standout, perfectly balancing sweetness and saltiness. The tableside Ahi Tartare was equally impressive, boasting refreshing flavors and a delightful crunch from the pine nuts.Moving on to the mains, the salmon plate showcased expert cooking techniques, delivering a perfectly cooked and incredibly fresh dish. Despite initial reservations about the Filet Mignon’s appearance, its medium-rare preparation revealed a tender and flavorful interior, complemented by heavenly mashed potatoes.Though tempted by dessert, our satisfied appetites led us to reluctantly pass.Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the fine dining experience to anyone who enjoys steak

was a little off this visit. the jidori chicken was not seasoned, a little bland. Service wasn't bad but wasn't near as good as it normally is. was a little disappointed. Normally excellent food and service.

Update: Feb 2024I visited JHS for my wedding anniversary with my entire family. I'm so glad that the food was quite phenomenal. It was my son's first A5 wagyu experience and it didn't disappoint. The deviled eggs were also phenomenal - perhaps the best I've ever tasted. The hamachi carpaccio was also sublime. As usual, the bread basket was great, especially the pretzels, and once again, my favorite banana fosters made me smile. It was really a near-perfect magical experience except I believe my server severely misunderstood what I was trying to convey to her. I precisely asked her to serve my wife her onion soup with the other starters but what ended up happening was the 4 of us just staring at each other for a good 25 mins while my wife had her soup and they waited until she was done to start the main course.I understand it was a busy night. But at this price point, you would expect the serving staff to work in conjunction with you to perfect your dining experience.I still love JHS. It was my very first "high end" dining experience and every time I visit Seattle, I shall stop by.*****This used to be one of my favorite restaurants 7 years ago. Since then, it has deteriorated quite a bit. The steak was dry, and so was practically any other dish. Not saying it wasn't tasty. Just saying for the price point, it was disappointing. Service was great, and the banana fosters cooked in front of you. But no longer was it a special experience.Parking: Park underground at the Bravern and the restaurant will validate your parking pass.

One of the best restaurants we’ve ever been too! The service is so amazing! You literally feel like you’re in a place of royalty! They take ladies orders first, serve first as well! Wall by with a special tool and scrape the crumbs off your table! Unfold and place your napkins for you! The food was phenomenal! On the higher $ side but ? worth it! Ruben was our waiter and will be requesting him again! I could go on and on! ❤️Dietary restrictions: Gf

Our server, Ryan, was a delight and took excellent care of us during our dining experience. His recommendations were spot on, his service prompt, and he's quite personable. My partner's whisky drink was tasty and my wine was delicious. Our main entree's were mouth watering tantalizing; served at perfect temperatures, not overdone, and seasoned well. Sea bass dish was stupid good and will bring me back again. The ribeye steak was so tender, seasoned and seared perfectly, and legit melted in your mouth. We bought 1/2 dozen oysters that were beyond fresh, cleaned perfectly, and served with appropriate dressings. The lobster bisque was dynamite. The bread pudding is an absolute must, as is the cheesecake. Thanks, Ryan, for the lovely dining experience during our belated Valentine's date.
