Best Idli, dosa, vada and sambar in this area. Period. I haven't tried much else and we regularly order the above dishes. The place is clean, not much to comment about the ambience but their food is truly the highlight and they consistently deliver the same quality and taste everytime I have visited or ordered.Glad to have them back after the pandemic.

For authentic South Indian food and flavors this is the best place. On having the first bite of Idli, dosa and the sambar you do get a feeling of how traditional and authentic the food is and the effort to stay true to the basics - just like home cooked but very flavorful food. This is a cafe, so please do not have expectations of a restaurant kind of service and out of the box plating or so.. its basically self service. Lots of vegetarian options.

This was just next to our known complex where we have Fred meyers, Apna bazaar, Chuck E Cheese etc.If you are craving for South Indian food and especially Bengaluru food, this is the place for you . The thatte Idli was really amazing. The Paper Masala dosa was super crisp just the way I liked it. I will definitely go to this place again whenever I crave for Idli, dosa. I would say that the sambhar and chutney could have been better. But overall I loved the food. Also one plus is that they are pure vegetarian. I would take my parents there as well.

Good food but not the bestThis part is not related to the restaurant or the food but it’s about a couple who failed to do their responsibility . If you are bringing a kid no matter what, they are solely your responsibility. A toddler threw up inside the cafe and parents left the place without even doing basic cleaning. Few people stepped on that and it made everyone feel gross. Please be respectful to your fellow people who are coming to have food like you . This may sound rude. Nobody wants to clean up the mess made by you or your kid

The review goes as far based on the restaurant & food experience , but I would like to give more credits to this restaurant for having one of the morning’s best “Thatte Idli” in North America, as a South Indian, I usually make a must visit if I drive down to Seattle from Canada. They have different breakfast options available.

South Indian cuisine is known for its unique blend of flavors and ingredients, featuring a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes that are rich in spices and aromas. One of the defining characteristics of South Indian food is the use of rice and lentils in various forms, such as dosa, idli, and sambar.Dosa is a popular South Indian dish that is made from a fermented batter of rice and urad dal. The batter is spread thin and crispy on a griddle, resulting in a savory and crunchy crepe that is often served with a variety of chutneys and sambar. Idli, on the other hand, is a soft and fluffy steamed cake made from the same batter, and is commonly served for breakfast or as a snack.I have tried their Rawa dosa and tatta idli, you will get the best authentic taste here.Overall, this South Indian restaurant offers a unique and diverse range of dishes that are flavorful, aromatic, and satisfying. There are plenty of options to choose from that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.

Good food but expensive for the quantity and quality served.

I’ve been here 5 times and this restaurant is consistently keeping up with it’s bad reputation. They make you wait for more than 30mins just to get an order of idly. The place isn’t clean and they’re way understaffed. You can see people waiting in line for more than 5 minutes and nobody taking their order. The order quantity is too little to fill up one person.Pros- good taste, polite staffCons- waiting time, cleanliness, ambiance, food quantity, prices.

The food at this self-service place was not worth the price, with poor quality and taste. The cleanliness and hygiene of the establishment were also subpar, and there seemed to be a lack of staff. The owner/chef was multitasking and handling food while wearing dirty clothing, which was unappealing. The background music was religious mantras - pleasant at first but soon became monotonous as it was on loop and was loud.Overall, I had high expectations based on the owner's previous restaurant- Namasthe in Redmond downtown, but I was left disappointed by their experience at this establishment.

The prices at this cafe were absolutely mind boggling. Everything on the menu is so overpriced, and for such little food. The chai was more than $4 and was served in what appeared to be a 6 oz cup, but was barely half full. Seemed like I was paying $1/oz of chai that wasn't even good! Ordered a plain dosa with nothing inside, received a dosa that clearly had subzi put on it then scraped off after the cook realized they were making it wrong. The idli was delicious, the server was the nicest lady ever, but I will never go there and spend $70+ on standard/sub-standard food that was hardly enough to feed 4! If I hadn't been so embarrassed, I would've just told them to cancel the order once I realized how outrageous their prices were. I hate to leave a bad review for what is clearly a little family run place but it definitely feels like price gouging... Just go to Dosa House instead.

The best Dosas in town. Don't go by the low key decor or lack of crowds. Just go in and order their ghee idlis and ghee dosas. I think it's with a new ownership/management but it's so so good!

Ordered from this place and found a big fat bug in my food. Almost felt like this was a personal attack since the bug was too big not to notice. Thanks for a sick weekend that I prolly won't forget for months/years.Edit: just saw the previous reviews mentioning hair and other objects in the same dish that had cockroach in it. Looks like it's a specialty dish. Lol, super unhygienic.

Dosai was was good. Price can be little less.Inconvenient to use restroom or wash hands after eating. You have to walk all the way to one end to use the restroom.

We had the ghee masala dosa and thatte idly with ghee both were good. But the sambar was not good. We took a side of podi which was very nice. The filter coffee was good it was nice that they did not add sugar.

Please do yourself a favor and don't visit this cafe. We ordered ghee masala dosa, chutnipodi masala dosa, gobi Manchurian and butter milk. Our butter milk was the only item which came within 10 mins. Rest all the items took nearly 1 hr to be served. Crazy our hunger was gone by the time the food came. To add more misery, the food quality was equally horrible. The crispiness of the dosa is only worth mentioning. The chutney and sambar( not sure if it was really a sambar because it was just a spicy water) was horrendous. On the whole the worst udupi cafe I have ever visited. This cafe is a black mark to the standard of a udupi cafe.
