Delicious food! And flavors you might not have tested before. Really friendly people. The inside of the café is kind of funky.

Best sandwich I’ve had all year. It is a bit of a hole in the wall, but I’d go there every day if I had the chance! The choripollo sandwich rocked my world!

This is a nice little café but very crowded when busy. The food is good and big enough for a small lunch. The wait time for the food was low, but the wait time to order was long because it was very busy.I would consider going again but certainly won't be rushing to the café.

This place is out of this world. The food is absolutely delicious. I got the quinoa bowl with pulled pork and my BF always gets the pollo tocino y paita sandwich.

I absolutely love this restaurant in downtown Bellingham! If you’re a local or a visitor passing through, I definitely recommend this little restaurant that serves excellent Peruvian food. Everything is decently priced, especially for the large and filling portions you get, and the staff is friendly. As a vegetarian myself, there are a few options such as the quinoa bowl, the peruano sandwich, and the vegetarian breakfast sandwich. Per their website, please note that Café Rumba may take a while to prepare your order given that their food is in high demand! It’s worth it though!

Vegetarian options: A few options such as the quinoa bowl, the peruano sandwich, and the vegetarian breakfast sandwich. Remember to substitute veggies instead of meat.

Dietary restrictions: I don’t believe the bread is gluten free, but there are multiple vegetarian options available. The quinoa bowl can be prepared vegan (ask for veggies rather than meat).

Parking: There is limited street parking available, and people must pay.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is outdoor seating available, which may provide more space for wheelchairs. The restaurant is only one level, if you want to sit inside. The place itself is quite small/ compact so do keep that in mind.

It has been a couple of years since I visited downtown Bellingham. Glad to have returned to Cafe Rumba. The food and service was excellent, as always. The Peruvian corn, fried yucas and butifarras were authentic and so tasty, as was the maracuya juice and chicha drink. Thank you Cafe Rumba for a wonderful meal.

Consistently delicious. I had the potatoes with chicken. I can't remember the exact name but it came in a bowl. The price was so reasonable and it was definitely a meal. I really like that all of their food is seasoned so perfectly. Not just sprinkled on top but always throughout. I also had some pastry with dolce de leche poured over the top of it, puff pastry Maybe? Just incredible.

Great little spot for Peruvian food, especially sandwiches. The potatoes are really good and a different spin on things for me. Plenty of street parking right outside. A delicious lunch spot for sure.

I was really excited to try Cafe Rumba since I’ve been eyeing it for a few years. I ordered the Butifarra Royal as a salad plate instead of the sandwich, and a side of shoestring potatoes. When the food was ready, the waitress brought out my salad and said “ we are out of potatoes but I brought you the sauce that goes with them” and she walked away. She didn’t offer a substitute for the potatoes at all. I walked to the front and asked if I could at least get a side of bread since there weren’t potatoes available to go with my meal. The people that ordered before me and the people that ordered after me received potatoes as a side? I watched multiple trays of potatoes come out. It was just an odd event to be dropped off your food and not offered anything else or compensation for paying for a full meal and only getting part of it. The salad was very good and I was unsure what to do with the sauce for my potatoes, but I sampled it and the flavor was good.

Took about 35 min for sandwiches. All the bread was dry and burnt. The pulled pork itself was fine. Think they might have just forgotten them in the toasting oven.Hopefully just an off night.
