A family member spent over $300 last year and every single package of salmon roe was improperly sealed and completely rancid. Every single tray had to be thrown out. Lummi Island Wild said that they would resolve the issue after she commented here; she has yet to receive a refund for the order.The website clearly states "Love it or your money back". If only.Terrible customer service, terrible products.

Terrific delivery! I was worried that the fish will be thawed by the time it reached me but each fillet was completely frozen! And I mean completely -- as if it were straight out of the freezer (It was on my porch for 1 hour) !

I ordered the coho ikura twice, and it was amazingly fresh and delicious. One tray was improperly sealed (the trays are sealed with oxygen absorbers inside to prevent rancidity), but Lummi Island Wild quickly refunded it. That experience increased my confidence, so I placed a third order for six trays. This time every single tray had a bad seal and was rancid! When I emailed support, the response contained a return policy, which was stricter than the one on the website, and there was no offer to refund or replace the items. I had to email and call multiple times over the course of a month in order to get a resolution. Customer support finally told me that they would only refund one tray, since I had only photographed one tray before throwing them out, citing the stricter version of the return policy that was sent by email. They also offered a 15% discount on my next order, as if I would order again after this experience.I hope that Lummi Island Wild starts putting oxygen indicators in their trays of ikura so that they know which trays are improperly sealed.

I have ordered twice from this company. The first order was very fresh, albeit very expensive. I thought however that given that they charge as much as a restaurant for a filet, the quality, freshness and consistency would be constant. Hence why I decided to order with this company for a second time.My request, given the price, is that I wanted center cut salmon. I even specified it in the notes. This time we received meager ends and tips of the salmon for almost $30 a filet. if the taste would have been good, i would have let it fly by. Unfortunately some of the salmon filets are INEDIBLE and fishy. we have to throw at least 6 or more in the garbage.This teaches me to never order from this company again.i'm extremely disappointed.how can they charge such high prices and send such sub par and mediocre quality.I'm a really good cook and know good quality fish. Unfortunately what they sent me is far from fresh and quality.my feeling is that they tried to sell me those subpar pieces they sell for $15 and charging premium...I went to my local fishmonger today and everyone was ordering center cuts salmon. he was left with only tail pieces. he told me he uses the tails for salmon burgers as no one wants the tails.You can't charge those premiums and send basically almost a dozen tails. they were unfortunately not fresh. I'm not the first negative review. your first order is miles away inconsistent with what the second order was. It's as if I had ordered from two very different fish mongers.reply to Lummi Island Wild:Why did you cancel my review from your website? How can one trust a company that deleted negative reviews from their website?? I'm sure they would delete google reviews if they could. lolThere was unfortunately no resolution as they want redeliver (why would I want to receive from them again after what they sent me?) or store credit. I want a refund, not redelivery from a place that sends inconsistenly quality fish.

Lummi Island does not stand behind their product. The fish we received was not properly sealed, seals were cut open and some packages were missed entirely from being sealed. The fish was frost bitten and wasted. Instead of offering immediate reimbursement/replacement, Lummi explained their greatness and have ignored repeated attempts to contact them for reimbursement. We would never trust this group with the food on our plate again and find it shameful that Lummi would boldly state a commitment to quality and our fragile environment while simultaneously wasting this precious resource and the effort of the folks out their truly working hard to source quality seafood responsibly.

Absolute best quality and sustainably harvested products you can find! My suggestion if you come across them, just buy it. I also had a chance to visit the Lummi reef net operation, an example of how an old method of fishing could one day save our marine species. For real. Get to know more and be conscious of what you buy and eat. It matters!

This is an update of my previous review. The solution of adding 1 free fillet on my next order has been offered. I have been a returning customer with Lummi and I am giving my overall experience with the company a 5-star rating for now and I will order from them again. Hopefully, the thawing problem with shipments in the middle of the summer will be resolved.Order: 3 fillets of king salmon.Pros: Generally good quality (after grilling). Quick customer service responses (see below).Cons: The package arrived partially thawed with no dry ice left. Since we were not going to use all the fish at once, we had to freeze it again and freeze/thaw cycles decrease quality. Fish was packed in a paper box that does not hold the cold as efficiently as a styrofoam one. I appreciate the effort to go “green”, but something needs to be done to keep products frozen. One of the fillets was less than 1.75 lb (not as advertised) and the other 2 were between 1.75 and 2 lb (as advertised). One of the fillets was not vacuum packed (fish was loose inside). Even though customer service responded quickly to my complaint, no solution was offered.

We ordered 4 pieces of Baker King for $100. Having personally fished in Pelican, Alaska and Kenai River in Sitka, we compared tonight side by side King salmon from Pelican, AK and “Baker King” from Lummi. The fish from Lummi was clearly not King Salmon, maybe Pink salmon at best. Don’t waste your time and $$ on this product.

This caviar reminds me my childhood when my mom tried to give it to me. It’s very good mild taste It’s unbelievable good. The salmon also very good. It’s came to me still frozen very nice packed on dry ice So I definitely will order more
