Melvin is my favorite GABF brewery and was super excited to come here. The manager was odd but now after speaking to him and reading reviews I know why. He just bought the place and is rebranding it. Glad i was able to visit before it changed. Manager/owner could use help on promoting his new gig. i won't be back to visit after the rebranding.

Beer tasty. Service was good - our waitress was kind and friendly. Manager behind bar rude and has serious attitude. Interesting as I look at the reviews that this has been an issue for others. We will not return. There are plenty of amazing breweries and cideries across Bellingham - highlights include Wander, Twin Sisters, Aslan, Structures, Bellingham Cider Co. Really too bad that one person can ruin an otherwise great location.

We love Melvin's 2x4 beer and their burger with bacon onion marmalade is superb! Done perfectly. Be prepared to spend a bit more than other places, but it is worth it.

So not gonna go to this place again, mediocre beer and mediocre food and on top of it mediocre service, offered and paid for a used glass and told by another employee im not allowed to have it after i paid for it, i was so upset i said keep “yeah really keep my money!†And walked out ruined my whole weekend... inconsistent policies and sales policies not a professional establishment more like a garage make it up as you go a long establishment, amateurs, ill be calling BBB to resolve my issues... please be aware business first not customer first... they do not have your best interest in mind as a customer... business first...

Melvin has gotten a lot of flak and understandably so, but this review is about this taproom location and their beers, not the company. On average, their beers are quite a bit better than pretty much any other brewery in Bellingham - the Roberto lager and the Czech Your Head pilsner were both quite good, the 2MA2H and the Fruity Loops pales ales were both very good and the Kung Fubar double IPA was excellent. The service was very good and the bartender was very knowledgeable about their beers. The ambiance left something to be desired and the food was a bit on the salty side (though decidedly tasty), but those things do not detract from their brews and service.

Great beer selection and server was very knowledgeable about the different beers. Food menu had many options- we had the potstickers and red pepper bisque, both were delicious. Dog friendly and lots of room inside.

The service is always good, the food is usually pretty good + but today it was just not up to standard,? there was a variety of dishes served at the table and I think everyone had about the same opinion. not terrible but a little disappointing. Perhaps they have a new cook who's just learning the ropes? We'll give him another chance in a week or two.

Food and beers are great. Service count use a little work. Staff isn't always attentive or on their game. Sometimes they are, bit it's pretty inconsistent. I would give 5 stars if service was better overall.

Pretty hard to beat the beer quality, and they've brought back the daily $3 beer options. Good food menu, (really good Asian fusion and burger options), and service has improved drastically since they opened. I love this place.
