terrible service. terrible food. incapable of remembering or writing down an order so they are often wrong. Will not go back.

Beautiful view on the patio, the service was not bad too. I loved the onion rings, but my fishwich was a little on the dry side. It was supposed to be a cod sandwich, but the cod pieces were so thin and small, almost like calamari pieces. That made it hard to taste any fish with each bite and felt like it was mostly lettuce and tomato.
My friend also requested a rare burger, but it came back barely medium rare, closer to medium. She even asked the waitress beforehand if they do rare for burgers, otherwise she would have ordered something else, and the waitress said they do.

Do not go there… We waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes and NO FOOD. We ordered appetizers and couldn’t even get those. We kept asking the waitress when our food was coming and she would say just a few more small orders ahead of you…. The waitress said she could get us clam chowder after we cancelled the appetizer order and then when we had enough and wanted to pay for the 2 beers, they had the guall to actually charge $24.00 for 4 clam chowders. It was the worst clam chowder we had ever had and it was not even hot. We had heard how great this place was and maybe it was in 1938 but certainly NOT NOW. Save yourself money, and fustration and go somewhere else…The waitstaff was terrible. also.

We pass by here several times a year and like to stop for a beer and a burger. The food is very good for pub fair. The salads are fresh and the dressings are homemade, very delicious.

It’s really sad when you walk into a restaurant/lounge and you’re anmediately told that your kid is not allowed in the bar and the only way to get into The restaurant area is to walk through the bar. We were not even welcomed with a hello or smile. ., we were treated like we were an inconvenience when ordering our drinks right there at the bar. There was one lady if you can call her that was waiting on everybody, but she could’ve made a hell of a good tip if she would’ve just smiled and said welcome. The lights were all off, except one open sign. They had neat whiskey bottle chandeliers that were not on and , the TVs were not on and nothing was bringing in any ambience. It looks like a very dull Mundane atmosphere which the bartender/restaurant worker.could have changed. A lady finally came in who could’ve been late for her shift whatever it may be but she started clearing eight tables that were left to be cleared And she deserved the tip. . The bartender /waitress greeting us with criticism needs to be productive in her Every step. she acted like she didn’t even want to be there or she was pissed off at the world. This is so very sad because what a good looking and nice business that we have come to see with a very snotty attitude from an employee you who changed just one families evening
So sorry for the bad rating, on the service, although you get what you deserve .
Don’t give up and change your attitude and let’s make your place a better place welcome your customers even if there’s one person waiting on everybody you can make it happen!

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Service, food, and overall experience was a mess. The view was definitely great. Maybe if you went to have a beer and sit outside to be left alone it could be worth the time, the food was not.

Update: 08/04/24.PASS - Don't be tempted by the bay side view, just drive by knowing you saved a load of time and money you could have easily waisted. The food service is non existent here, mainly the cook, if you can call him that? Is SLOW, in many ways it appears. We waited nearly an hour after they took our order and still didn't get our food and we only ordered a sandwich and clam strips. I was a cook for 15 years, the place was 1/4 full, they have a short and easy menu that even a one armed cook could keep up with. Other Locals at the bar had to agree with us and offered that the food wasn't that great these days anyways. PASS. 08/2023 Service was a little off on this visit, the food was good, this place used to be rustic but now more ?? I don't know. Update, had a great burger and drinks, things are looking up again and I am glad

We were told when we went in to dine on a Wednesday evening around 7pm that the cook was tired and they had no food available except left over clam chowder, but we could get a drink. We have traveled here for 8 years, first time we thought we would try it out, very disappointing. Maybe just a off night?

Best oyster shooters I ever had

Well I think I will only come back if I'm not in a rush.
Arrived Sunday at 11:55am, not many people were there. Order was promptly taken. Food did not come until 12:40 almost an hour for an order of fish and chips and fries oysters....

Batter for both fish and oysters were soggy. Potato fries limp and soggy. There was only one cook so I understand he was overworked and couldn't give best attention to each order but for the price it was disappointing. 2 of my 8 oysters were tiny. Fish pieces were small.

I will stick with other items next time
