Great prices and food. I had the loco moco and my boyfriend had the ribs, and we shared a musubi. We decided to eat in, the atmosphere wasn't the best but the service was good.

The chicken katsu tasted really good! Had a nice crunch to it as well. The service was alright, not the friendliest. Nothing particularly special about the restaurant itself or dining area.Quality of food is mediocre. Overall I would say the quality for quantity at the price point you pay is worth it at the end of the day.

this place has great hawaiian food and was the first place i ever tried spam musubi! i have been here since to dine in and the kalua pork and mochiko chicken are great. the place is adorably decorated as well.the staff is nice, very no frills which i actually appreciate. they let you eat in peace and are straightforward yet polite. i have seen them converse and have warm conversations with regulars which means more to me than overly friendly small talk.good prices as well. i also really like the location as it is a great spot showcasing all of everett's diverse food options. el riconsito is a city favorite and alida's bakery has some solid baked goods.

So good and yummy! That's how locomoco is done. And the aunty who took our order was quite sweet. What a beautiful venue! We hope to use your catering in the future. Good prices too! Awesome!

To qualify the review- I am from Hawaii. So I can easily compare Hawaiian Sun to the many places I've been to in Hawaii and in the Pacific Northwest. In a word- excellent. Their macaroni salad is just like and as good as the good Mac salads in Hawaii. I had the BBQ combo and the Kalbi was cooked nicely as was the Teri beef and the bbq chicken. My wife had the Banana lumpia and it also very, very good. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely come again.

Every foodie should have a Hawaiian spot in their list of places to eat and Hawaiian Sun BBQ is the spot for me. Tucked into a small strip mall, is this gem of a place. Been coming here for years and this place have never disappointed. Mind you it is sort of a hole-in-the-wall kind of joint and not one of the overhyped fancy foo foo places. One to the best part, the food!1) Mochiko chicken - this is a staple and I always get this. Crispy, juice, sweet and a little spicy. What more can you ask.2) Ox tail noodle soup - so good and the ox tails is fork tender.3) locomoco/mochiko chicken combo - if you cannot decide between a couple options get a combo and get a bit of both! Who does not like a good ol locomoco? Flavored beef , overeasy egg , rice , gravy 4) Kailua Pork - get it with the cabbage. So good, savory and tender. Definitely a classic.Staff is great and they have a good selection of Hawaiian Sun to wash down the food with. If you are in the Everett area, come on by and get a taste of the Aloha.

I've been here several times with no complaints. My Hawaiian friend highly recommended the food here. Today I enjoyed the mochiko chicken as it is was moist chicken and a crispy light coating. Other local places overdo the batter and oil. One hour later at home it was still crunchy. Large bowl of Saimin soup with wonton was flavorful and not salty. Also had noodles with sweet tender pieces of kalbi beef. I'm not a big fan of fried noodles but it was good.

So so of a place. Not really recommended. I believe it's run by Vietnamese family. The chicken katsu wasn't fried too well. The beef kalbi had less char. Prices were slightly lower than Aloha Kitchen in Renton.

If I could give less than one star I will give Negative Stars First first impression walking in was Chinese they have the Buddha and the cat.100% not Hawaiian but I wanted to try the food and see if the reviews were as true as they say. I asked the lady at the register for a takeout menu and she rudely said no takeout menu and handed me the menu to order inside. The chicken was more batter and a tiny piece of chicken very dry not moist at all, shrimp fried rice was not cooked there was raw shrimp, mac and cheese was rotten all they added was mayonnaise pieces of shredded carrot, side sauce that they add with the chicken is nothing but water and brown sugar.Wanna be Hawaiian decorations that is set up very tacky this is a confused Chinese Japanese restaurant. This restaurant needs to be shut down it is an offense to the Hawaiian natives.
