As a transplant from Birmingham, Alabama, I have been looking for good barbecue since we have moved here, only to be disappointed and I am glad that we found this place. The brisket was buttery tender. The smoke was impeccable. You don’t really need sauce because the meat is smoked to perfection. The cowboy caviar was on point, the baked beans were great. The macaroni and cheese was decently cheesy , nice and soft but it would be nice if it was smoked mac & cheese. The service was fast and extremely friendly. The place was clean. There was country music playing, which isn’t my thing, but it fits the atmosphere so it was fantastic. I look forward to going back. It was money well spent. This will be our new go-to place

Ordered 2 2 meat 2 side combos, with brisket, pulled pork, rib, and beef tips as the meats and Mac and cheese, coleslaw, reds and gravy, and cowboy caviar as the sides. Brisket was the bestest. Almost all of the sides were great. Favorite was the beans. My kids loved the mashed potatoes, my daughter was licking the lids and eating off the table. Gonna come back next time we go to the kids museum.

I had the BBQ chicken thighs and collard greens. The chicken was not seasoned, and the collard greens that had too much smoke and vinegar. I'm not quite sure what they were thinking, serving hot food with cold cornbread, which, by the way, should not be served with what tasted like icing. I cannot recommend it, not a pleasurable experience at all.

It's been a while since we had stopped at Everett's best bbq joint so we decided to jump in the car and head down. Ordered the two meat/two sides platter whi h was more than enough for two for lunch. Brisket was on point as usual with a nice smoky but not to smokey hit to it, and the pulled pork was just as tasty. Mac and cheese, coleslaw, and an extra side of cowboy caviar rounded out the meal. Never been disappointed here. Great job J and L BBQ.
