I had never been to the China Cafe. At first I was really kind of put off. The woman at the front desk was short and snappy. I explained I hadn't been there, and she expected me to know what I wanted in about 3 seconds, I almost walked out. But at the same time I wanted to know wheather the food was good or bad. I was surprised, the cashew chicken was surprisingly good. None like I'd ever eaten in the past. I guess I'm going to overlook the short and snappy for now. I'll definitely get the cashew chicken again. I don't know that I'll wait outside, like she expected me to do in the future.

It seemed as tho we were an inconvenience to atleast one of the staff. Our server was nice but we only had interaction with her when she took our order, when she brought our drinks and when she asked if we wanted boxes.I'm pretty sure we would have been far more appreciated if we would have just hurried up and ate our meal and left as soon as possible.The idea of taking your time to enjoy your meal seems foreign at this establishment.They are going out of business soon so we won't have to worry about possibly googling this place for Chinese food and eating here again in our travels next year.

Got the beef lo maine and the honey walnut shrimp. The lo maine was great! I can't say enough good things about it, however, the honey walnut shrimp was another story. The sauce is a mayonnaise based sauce which isn't an issue but there wasn't very much honey in it to give it the more sweet taste that most restaurants use for the dish. The shrimp and walnuts were great but again the sauce was a real turn off. It's for that reason that they are only getting a 3 star instead of a 4 star. This place is okay to go to if your regular place is closed or packed.

Don’t let the smell fool ya! When you first walk in, you might wonder if this is the place where you want to eat? It is. The food is outstanding - incredibly tasty. Portions are fair, prices are reasonable and service is good. Actually some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time.

Best Chinese food! I’ve been coming to this restaurant for 30+ years and now bring my family and they agree it’s the best! The almond chicken used to be my favorite but this last time the Almond subgum chicken chow mein was superior! Could be change in cooks or taste buds, either way everything was amazing! The waitresses were so sweet as well. They gave my kids a big bag of fortune cookies to go for being well behaved.
Pretty good food. The tables are really close to each other. Really the only thing bad I have to say is that the guy sitting in the booth behind me moved a lot and it moved my back rest quite a lot.

This place was amazing. We had egg foo young and bred chow fun. Both was hands done the right way. Both with a full and rich flavor and the fried rice was fresh and tasty. Great place will go here again when in Tri-city.

I’m not the kind of person who leaves reviews but man if I had to power to shutdown a restaurant it would be this one. To have ordered 4 items off there menu and have all them come back raw and so cold that when you bite the food, there was pieces of ice inside. You’d think that you’d not get charged for even one of the obviously raw foods but no here at the China cafe in Kennewick you actually pay extra. How is this not illegal? To be charging more than the prices on your menu and feeding customers foods that are sure to get them sick it’s criminal. I hope that if you’re deciding on eating here to really take in what’s going on here.

the chicken was cold and under cooked. they had over charged us and the hot and sour soup tasted like it was cooked in the micro wave same with the rice.
