Drinks on the pricey end. Had a Mannys that was flat and not refreshing. Wife had Tortellini Valdostana good cream sauce and flavorful. I had the Terra D Mare which was flavorful and had a little good heat to it. Wish there was some kind of bread service to kick of entrees or use to smear the good sauces.

We celebrated my husband's 85th birthday in the private dining
area at Al Lago recently, and what a perfect place it is for any
special occasion !!! The food was perfect and enough for our
26 family members to take leftovers home. Katie is extraordinary in orchestrating any occasion to be remembered.
We have eaten at Al Lago many times for the last 20 years and
always have positive things to say about the food, service, and
atmosphere. It's always a winner !

Dietary restrictions: One of our guests is allergic to alcohol, so the food was
adapted to meet her needs.
Parking: There are large windows that accommodate lots of light and
beautiful views of the lake.
Kid-friendliness: We have dined with young children at Al Lago and had no
problems. The kids like the food a lot. There is room in
the private dining area for children to walk around at a party.
They enjoy themselves always.

Food was delicious, was small. I ordered take out Alfredo and have had it in store before too and the portions were noticeably smaller. I don’t know if they do that with take out or if I just got a smaller portion. Luke warm when picked up (I got there before it was even bagged, I was there early). Flavors were good.
As a once every few months it’s decent, better if you’re eating there. Take out wise it’s not worth the price.

We really wanted to like this place. The service and setting were excellent, and we could tell everything was made with high quality ingredients, but there was a distinct lack of salt in my alfredo sauce and in my wife's filet mignon and no salt shakers at the table (which might have saved the meals). It's not that there was not enough salt, it's that it didn't taste like any was added at all. The meat was fairly charred in some spots, making the lack of any other flavor more noticeable. The alfredo sauce was very creamy and had great texture, but again, cream and Parmesan alone don't contain enough salt to carry that sauce. Lastly (and this is very minor), the fettuccini alfredo was served with linguine.
We went to AlLago for my husband's birthday. The food was awesome, and Ilana, our server was great.

Service was poor. When the food finally came out, mine was missing. It finally came out as my party was finishing their meals. I was not impressed. Most likely will not return.

If you go here excepting a 3/4 star experience, then you will leave feeling like it was 5 stars, and maybe vis-versa. It seems like a place where a woman who is on the prowl would go on a Friday night to try to catch a partner. A truly nice restaurant, but not crazy fancy or pretentious. Not a place where a cool group of straight guys would go on a Friday night, but a place where a cool group of ladies or maybe gay guys would go. I bet the fellas who work there go home with a fair share of phone numbers. I came with for a wedding rehearsal dinner, and the consensus was that the food was outstanding. The staff was top notch, I assume they are compensated decently.

Food came out cold and was very overcooked. We thought the waitress was having the entree remade only to find out later that they ran out of ingredients. She didn’t communicate this well and therefore one of us ended up with no meal. We were disappointed that there was no quality control on what was served.

This place is great, the outside patio has a great atmosphere, and at times you can see Mt Rainier. Every dish I have tried at this place has been really good. The owners are doing a great job with their establishments.

We came here with a very large group about 12 of us, the service was Amazing the food not so much. I think we expected more due to the beauty in this establishment. We celebrated birthdays this day. Probably go somewhere else next time.
