When people think Mexican restaurant, they usually think of chips and salsa, burritos and pretty much the same menu anywhere. La Cocina is completely different. The menu, we only saw the lunch one, was very simple but had a good variety of items. My husband had the Torta and I had the Quesadilla. My husband loved his torta and devoured the whole thing. Authentic Mexican cuisine at a decent price. I had the vampiros and tacos dorados, both came with beef, cheese, and taco shell. I didn't ask for additional toppings, but I would advise ordering them. The thing I would change is the menu does not have any text descriptions of the item, so I had to ask the server a lot of questions about the menu prior to ordering, and still wasn't sure exactly what I was going to get. At first I never knew this was a restaurant, it's really a lil hole in the wall. I went for the first time A few on the back and let me tell you it's amazing ! The food is cooked fresh and it's great portions.
