Love the food, simply delicious! Ordered through Uber Eats and was not given the sauces that I requested. Sad that I did not get the soul sauce that I asked for but the food is so amazing, you gotta try it!!!!

Stopped in with the wife and kids. Food was even better than I expected and the serving sizes were good for the price. Fish was great, the chicken was great and the ribs were awesome.

The food was delicious.. The customer service is the reason I will never go back. As a first time customer I would expect the owner to try and win my business. He did not. PNW is the better restaurant to go to.

We were in the area and stopped at TJ's. We ordered the shrimp poor boy sandwich, fried okra, fried fish with fries, hot link sandwich with fries, and peach cobbler.I had the shrimp poor boy with fried okra. The fried okra was good. The poor boy was packed with shrimp and was a large, tasty sandwich. The only thing was that there was a little too much sauce on it. It was messy to eat. I could have done with less sauce. My husband got the fried fish with fries. It was very tasty. He enjoyed the fish. The fries were another matter. They were limp. Fries need to be crisp. Hence the 4-star rating. We had our 2 dogs with us; they liked them. The hot link came on a bun with bar b que sauce. It was very tasty too. Then there were the fries again. Sorry, but they need to work on their fries. Limp fries really suck. We took them home to heat up for tomorrow. They will be crisp. The peach cobbler was good. I think it was just made. Except for the fries, we loved everything. When back in the area we will stop here to eat!

Did we just happen to get the best things on the menu or is everything as good as the corn in the cob, Mac & cheese, banana pudding, ribs, fries and sweet tea?!? Best food that I’ve had in a LONG time.Do yourself a favor a go get some!

Best BBQ in Longview by far. The smell inside the restaurant was mouth watering. I will definitely be going back to try the fish and collard greens. Today we tried the chicken wings, ribs, hush puppies, brisket sandwich, macaroni and cheese, and sweet tea. It was amazingly delicious. I definitely recommend. Oh and great service.

Seen these pictures and had to come get some delicious food. The peach cobbler is so comforting. The fried chicken and ribs were the best I've had since moving here from Texas years ago. The man I interacted with was patient and kind.

I just stopped in and hoped for the rave review.I ordered “2 piece fish, and Mac and cheese” I was charged for the basket, without asking if I wanted the ala cáete option or basket. Which I didn’t argue, small business and I want to be supportive. Plus, I’ve heard great things.I stopped at the lake because I wanted it hot. So here’s my take.Pros: the catfish was two big pieces and could have been where I stopped but I love to eat. So I continued to the Mac, which was creamy. The wait was exactly what I would expect for a one man show and smaller place.Cons:The fish, although large pieces, was undercooked by maybe a minute or two, and although I loved the cornmeal batter, it didn’t have a powerful flavor. I was hoping for some serious soul flavor but it was VERY mild. The fries were a bit soggy and flavorless. I added tabasco before I left but it wasn’t enough. I regretted not grabbing some ketchup. The Mac and Cheese…oh how I was excited. Although very creamy and looked delicious, it was flavorless as well. It tasted like a canned Mac that I would not purchase. My suggestions, and I truly do wish you the best, is to find that season balance and ask how people prefer flavors and crispness. Find that piece of soul you want to share. That passion you have on your “about” page didn’t come through today.I hoped it would have and I wish you all the best.

Since moving to the PNW 9 years ago, I often get homesick for good southern food. TJ's hit the spot with a fresh fried catfish dinner, collard greens and fried okra. Can't wait to come back for the BBQ!

A diamond in the rough. I was totally surprised to find a genuine Soul Food establishment in the middle of nowhere. The food was great and had good portions also. The only drawback is they're not open on Sunday. If I'm ever back in the area, this place is a must visit.

My and my boyfriend came here for a quick lunch and got the fried chicken basket and it was the best fried chicken I ever had. It was crunchy but not hard and was perfectly seasoned. I had the candied yams and they were so delicious. The fried were amazing as was the fried okra.

I went on an impulse on my trip back home…Ordered a half rack of ribs, Mac and cheese, hush puppies and some banana pudding…nothing I orders was bad at all!! The Mac and cheese was far and above my expectations for restaurant product. The hush puppies were definitely made from scratch. And I’m not a St. Louis rib fan but I would definitely order these again. And the banana pudding just brought everything together… Try this place…keep them going. Places like this are what need to stay open
