The food was great. We came in first and got seated and watched everyone coming in after us get coffee and have there order taken. We honestly felt like our business was not welcomed. If you can endure the service, the food is not bad. My family will not go back.

The food here is okay. I honestly have to say it's nothing you can't make at home. I will say that the staff here is kind, but the service is so-so. For the prices of the food, I wasn't too impressed with the quality, However, it has a home-like vibe to it. If you have a craving for something quick then check this place out, but there are a lot of other options.

The place was noisy to a fault. Locals were voicing there gossip with the staff loud enough that my wife could not converse at our table. We were ok with everything but will not stop there again.

I'm not sure how so many places can get breakfast basics and simple requests... so bad! I seem to have the absolute worst luck with breakfasts, which is probably why I don't frequent that many. Came in and ordered three French toast. That's it. Bread dipped in eggs (and milk / cream) and cooked on a griddle! I almost ordered a side of bacon and am so glad I didn't. I asked for three French toast, extra crispy. What I got was three soft / soggy French toast, at least 2 bites cold-ish from not even being cooked enough, and three different bright yellow yolk streaks that clearly didn't hit the heat, lol. It's sad because there aren't many places in the area. I rolled the dice and chose this one in spite of the under 3.5 ratings. Huge mistake. The waitress seemed nice enough, but how nice is she, REALLY, if she doesn't ensure that the ONE EXTREMELY SIMPLE thing I asked for, I didn't get??!? Wouldn't recommend it at all. To be fair, I had one item off of the menu... but the other recent reviews are far from complimentary. I'm only in the area for work - Hopefully, for the locals and tourists, they get things worked out!

I had ordered two meals to go. When I arrived home I had one plate of rice, the second with beans. This was not what I had ordered. It was a cold evening and I returned to the cafe and apparently they new I was coming and had our food waiting for us at the counter. Once again I should of checked because I was missing part of my order. Is it to much to ask of people to do their job and prepare an order at a restaurant. If you order check your bags and order before you leave.

There was 20 people in restaurant. I stood 10 minutes waiting to be acknowledged, I had to to say something to get noticed! This place is now owned by another restaurant in Longbeach that is fabulous. The kitchen staff is fantastic! They need not only more waitresses but ones as good as at the other restaurant! Please train wait staff better or there won't be any place to eat in Ocean Park!Parking: Limited spots due to small lot.The evening food is fantastic so the place fills up!

2 servers for packed house. Ours went on 30 min break before giving us our coffee or letting us or the other server know. Just disappeared ? Don't get the chicken fried steak. Was like t sheets of paper put together with a pocket in the center. But the rest of the food was great.
