***this rating is relative to the area, and what is avaliable in town. If this restaurant was outside of ocean shores, it wouldn't get such a high rating. The food is enjoyable, but relatively average. Its American diner-esque cuisine, and it meets ones expectations... so for ocean shores, that says ALOT! Hence, the 4/5 ☆review***The lady at the front desk at our hotel recommended this restaurant, saying it was the only restaurant she likes to eat at in ocean shores. We took her advice. We ordered cod fish and chips, and the prime rib melt, along with two stubborn sodas. This was our first time here, and if you've never been here, You might be wondering( like I was) what the heck is a stubborn soda?... They are not alcoholic. Rather, it is the brand of sodaserved from the self-serve fountain in the restaurant. They haveClassic and contemporary flavors.I had the pineapple cream soda. While it was not the most flavourful drink, It was light, crisp and refreshing. Not too sweet- while still giving pineapple cream. The fish&chips were done right& they seemed to be what everyone was ordering-so its a safe choice, if that's your thing. I was not disappointed with my prime rib sandwich- which I chose after reading mixed reviews about the crab melt. If you don't know where to eat while in town, I definitely recommend you eat here. Honestly, it's quite a gamble when picking up a restaurant here, because so many do disappoint. While it is an "order at. the counter and sit down"-type situation, I give the service such a higher review, because the waitress who came around and checked on us. Shehonored my request for extra pickles to take home - giving me more than I expected, along with a little bit of pleasant banter, which I really appreciated. So thanks to her, that category gets four stars - But without her, it would have been two or three.

The Cod Combo was amazing. I would not change a thing. The cod pieces are huge! Clam strips are big as well and awesome fries!! The coleslaw is amazing too! This place is a must visit!! Go check em out!!!

I had a great dinner tonight. It was extremely busy with a long line to get in. My wife and I went into the bar and each ordered a large clam chowder, fries, and cold beer. The bar tender was awesome. He really took good care of us. The food was on our table quick. Great chowder, thick and chunky. Delicious.We'll be back.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY “tacos” FROM HERE. Before I start this, not all the food was terrible, but the SOFT FISH TACOS were horrible? they didn’t have a description for what was in them on the menu, so when I ordered them, I was under the impression that I was getting somesort of street style fish tacos by the name…right? Oh I was so wrong. What came out was a spinach wrap with fish, pico de gallo, and some sort of coleslaw??? It’s a TACO WRAP, not anywhere close to a “fish taco”. The flavor was non-existent and was honestly one of the worst things I’ve gotten from a restaurant in the 16 years I’ve been alive. If you’re going to keep this on the menu, do us all a favor and call it what it is so we don’t waste $15
Excellent food clean tables can be in short supply many people pushed stuff to one end and sat at unclean tables. Understaffed? Busiest place in town!

Been here about five times this year, food is always decent for the price however I’ve been a server working in hospitality for about 25 years and it’s disappointing when I’m treated poorly or the place is so dirty I didn’t feel sanitary using the bathroom. Ugh. I tend to tip generously and the recipient could have said thank you. No hot water served, also no water unless paid for. Wow.
