I was camping at Ocean City State Park this last week and went into Ocean Shores Wednesday to get a bite to eat and do tourist shopping. I went to to other places for food, pubs, and left both places as not to friendly. Then I went to Mike’s and was treated very well. I go fish and chips to go as I didn’t want my dog to sit while I ate. Food was great. If I am ever back in Ocean Shores I will just go straight to Mike’s and maybe order something else on the menu too.
I had "the razor clam" for about $30. Was pounded until it was 1/4" thick and overcooked. Silverware in a little bucket on the table, salt shaker was greasy. The potatoes I received were greasy home fried potatoes and useless zucchini. Husband had the captain's seafood plate, all deep fried and could have been in a burger joint. No carpeting, bathrooms dirty, restaurant very shabby, fancy names and prices on the menu......... don't bother.
Mike's is always delicious. It's worth the wait of sometimes an hour. The food is fantastic and I send everyone I know here.
Mike the owner came to our table, explained what was on the menu and recommended the salmon. The food was great as promised and we felt well taken care of. We’d been there before and will definitely return next time we are in Ocean shores!
I was excited, this place came recommended. I had the Fish and Chips (cod) (2pc). The portion size was good, but it had a bad ocean-seafood taste (can't exactly describe or put my finger on it). Not through out the fish, just in sproaric bites. Kind of weird/very disappointed. Thought fish and chips would be safe, can't go wrong option, maybe the other dishes would be better.
I was not satisfied with my food neither was my grandmother and we spent over $200 on food that was disgusting and we did not eat
This is not what the pictures showed of crab cakes. The crb cakes look like they were opene from a can.
Our seafood stop in Ocean Shores tonight. I always prefer to try halibut fish and chips when at the coast. Saturday night so places were packed tonight. My halibut was cooked very well so credit for that. But the taste just didn't make spending almost $25 seem worth it. It wasn't bad but wasn't great either. My wife opted for a pasta dish with a garlic cream sauce and crab. She really liked hers.
Amazing food! 6 of us at the table so we tried a lot and it's all delicious. From pickle chips to whiskey salmon you won't be sad you ordered it!
Server was poor, food was horrible.
If you come to Ocean Shores, you must try out this place! They have the best clam chowder in town. The service was great and our server was very friendly. We had the King Crab and steak and they were both delicious. The crab tasted fresh and the steak was cooked perfectly. Great experience, will definitely come back!
We got sick, had to be by the bathroom all day yesterday and today We were recommended Mikes by a local... Not sure why. The food was average, my boyfriend got the "captains plate" fish and chips-cod, and shrimp; cod was over cooked. I am not a huge seafood fan, so I got the bacon cheese burger "spicy" (for a dollar more). It was not spicy AT ALL, and WAY to greasy!
Went to check out the place and a hostess, guy with long hair was very rude to us so we left.. place was dead and short staff... sad when a restaurant staff cannot be friendly to guests
The food here was amazing!!! The clam chowder was delicious as well the fried calamari! My fried razor clam was good and only thing that'd would made it better was that the oil needed to be changed , otherwise the whole lunch was delicious! Little spendy but we'll worth it for sure !! Our waiter was alone and quite busy but did an excellent job!!! Definitely will return to have lunch or dinner here !!!
They are really trying in this economy ... mistake ordering the crab cakes. Everything else looked good!
