Easily one of the best Mexican places I've been to. The seasoning really makes the dishes above and beyond. The staff is always welcoming and friendly.

What a pleasant experience at Ambakity! I have never been there before. I wanted a restaurant setting with tables and a server, and that's what I found at Ambakity. The food, service, menu, atmosphere and prices were perfect. I'll be returning.

Ambakity is so so highly recommended!!! They truly deserve more stars ?. I love the intimate feeling of this small, neighborhood gem, and the food is an experience beyond what you might expect. This is not your cookie-cutter Mexican, it's Mex-amazing-can! Bacon-wrapped Prawns are excellent, and the Carne Asada is oh-so flavorful. Order the Mexican Trio to pair both with grilled chicken. The hostess recommended a delightful Tequila. Forgot the name, but it's a red anejo. SMOOTH.Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

We love this place so much. The family that runs it is super sweet and the food does not disappoint. Plus there's a chip drawer, and anyplace that has a chip drawer can be trusted to be delicious. We've been here both as meat eaters and as vegetarians, and there are options for both. There are definitely more options for meat eaters, but the options foe veggie eaters are still so flavorful and saucy and wonderful. The poblano crema sauce is not to be missed... (Veggie Enchiladas, you're welcome). Their tacos are great, the burritos are large, and the enchiladas are filling and oozing with sauce. Make sure you eat all the sauce, because leaving any on the plate would be a travesty. The bar is also fully stocked, and while the cocktails are traditional and clean, the BIG beers are the best deal around.

Nice place with some great service. I didn't have a big meal but tried the queso with jalapeños and it was awesome. The chips they serve here are grad "A". The rest of my party had some great stuff, coconut shrimp, lamb shank, fajitas and A nice Tapia. Everyone enjoyed it and the beers were cold and refilled often.

First yelp review, this one is for the people.Psa best. Tacos. Ever. Plenty of parking in back. If tacos are your comfort food hit this place up as soon as you can. Try 1 of each. Thank me later.

Went to lunch with a friend. The level of food and flavors was excellent and the price matched. Three tacos and a burrito, served with water was $35 with tax and tip. Only gripe was the fish taco tasted slightly "fishy", rather than ultra fresh clean flavor of the species of the fish.May I suggest some lunch specials that could make this place a once a week option rather than a one a year treat. Maybe a 2-5pm happy hour with entrees in the 8-12 price point?I miss the days of the prior restaurant (muy macho) where you can get a lunch burrito for 5-7 bucks. I visited 2-3 times a week before it changed.

Great food. Great service. Loved the shrimp tacos and veggie fajitas. Margaritas were really flavorful. My fiancé loved the Mexican trio. The bacon wrapped shrimp were nice and big. Everyone else in our party was pleased with their meal.

Good selection and great service. The wait staff is also knowledgeable about ingredients for those with dietary restrictions or allergies. Just ask and they'll do their best to check before you order.

Very good and very unique Mexican restaurant. While you'll likely find most of your favorite dishes here their take on them may be unlike anything you've had before and their specialties are definitely worth switching it up.The folks are great, very friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks are excellent and very reasonably priced. I'm so glad they're making a go of it in these crazy times. Check them out, you'll be glad you did!

My carne asada was perfect size and cooked perfectly. The rice and beans were classic and done well. Chips and salsa we on point. My partner got the birria lamb shank, that was a no go. I don't think they make it fresh, the basically put cold meat in hot broth. Will definitely come again but will stick to items that are ordered a lot. I appreciate their portion sizes, limited to no food waste. Small businesses don't have the capacity to have everything fresh on such a large menu, so the things that are ordered a lot are on point. Also we got the arroz con leche cheesecake, we shoulda got the Flan. The cake was very dry and tough.

I feel I have learned the difference between good and great Mexican cuisine during my years on this planet and Ambakity is definitely one of the best I've tried. It's a cozy spot in the midst of South Park, family owned and operated. Let them start you off with some fresh chips and salsa and one of their great alcoholic concoctions! (Or some great alcohol free ones too). I've dined her probably about 10 times over the years and never dissatisfied. The food and drinks are always outstanding. They recently expanded their menu and many outstanding selections. I've tried the steak burrito, camarones, the lamb shank, and my last visit I fell in love with the Arroz Con Pollo. All have been exceptional, my favorite spot for Mexican food!

We went here on a recommendation of a good friend! Very empressed. There Pollo alla Parilla, a signature dish. So many flavors, moist, delicious! Enchilada, perfect, tortillas soaked in sauce, served folded, a must. I always measure yum of a Mexicana restaurant by the tacos el pastor. Mucho Gusto. The pineapple was incorporated into the meat and I loved the added radishes. Service was outstanding!
