English breakfast was amazing, though I wish they gave more than 1 roast potato. They also have Guinness on tap 👌
Would love to see gammon on the menu!

Fantastic from start to finish. Atmosphere is what you expect when you think English pub (it just missing a soccer game in the back), music is not too loud, Sunday roast menu is perfect, food is delicious and drinks are a-plenty.
And on top of it, service is super nice.
We just loved it.

Great food. The pork belly was deeply crunchy and the roast beef is beautiful. The potatoes are brilliant. The pig head McNugget special was awesome. It’s spendy, but also it’s Seattle, so…
a highly anticipated visit that fell short. The food is good but the vibes and execution are off: 1/we dined next to the front door which was propped open in 50 degree weather because the vent is broken, requiring us to wear our coats for the entire meal, 2/inexperienced servers, busser kept asking us what course of the meal we were on and whether he should change out the plates for dinner yet (this is the restaurants responsibility to time this, not the guest). The changeover was so awkward that at one point we were holding our food from our plate in our left hand and silverware in our right so we could move the existing food to the new plate (this was wild - i’ve never quite seen something this awkward in a restaurant) Also, server was hard to track down throughout the meal for refills, 3/the price to quantity ratio is off on some dishes. the thinnest slice of pate en croute for $24 and bone marrow for $24 that came with 3 peas sized amounts of marrow on the entire plate (we sent this dish back). The chuck eye steak and lamb meat pie were executed very well and the best things we ate - but at >$100 per person when it’s all said and done, the service and ambience will keep us from returning. They also need to get rid of the molding on the floor around the bar chairs - it runs the length of the restaurant through the walkway to the bathroom and is a trip hazard.

I cam around opening on a Friday and there was plenty of availability. The staff was very nice and I sat at the bar. Delicious food (yorkshire pudding, lamb pie, and sausage roll) and all were incredible! The atmosphere is more casual, the food is delicately prepared. This is a great place solo, with a friend, or small group.

So I want to start the review with something positive: the Dry Aged Ribeye is hands down one of the best steaks in the city since Local 360 if anyone remembers the iconic Seattle dining spot.
The rest left a lot to be desired. We made it clear on the reservation that it was my birthday. We weren’t looking for anything extra or free but not a single member of the staff wished me happy birthday. I guess it’s easy enough to miss but given my overall experience it made my day feel a bit less special.
I am not sure how the seating works but we were seated directly under one of the speakers. It was hard to hear my partner and the server and the playlist was honestly a bit jarring while eating. I would have asked to move but there seemed to be some sort of staff meeting while we were being seated and so I just decided we would tough it out.
I recognized the owner was there from the other location but he never got around to visiting our table despite checking in on the other guests at the time. He must have dismissed us because my partner and I were having to text to communicate through the music and outside of the gentleman who boxed our food for us it was hard to get anyone’s attention when we needed something or were ready to leave. The hostess was on her phone, our server was having what seemed like a lovely prolonged chat with one of the butchers, and everyone else had other tables to attend to.
Even though the food was good the meal was constantly interrupted by flies, which seemed to be the norm in the establishment when we brought it up to our server. Would I come back here again? Maybe if they worked on the cleanliness of the place and the attention of the staff to be more in line with the price point. I hope anyone else who is considering celebrating a special occasion here finds this helpful.

I cannot emphasize how good the little beast is bc oooooomg. my boyfriend and I came in and shared the sunday roast and it was honestly phenomenal. like so beyond good.
we’re just visiting from LA but if we lived here in Ballard you could 100% find us here on Sunday’s in some alternate Ballard life. & if you live in ballard and aren’t coming here for the sunday roast idk what you’re doing. I’m going to need you to get your priorities straight and go to little beast for those of us who don’t live near by. tbh we want to come back and try everything on this menu. when we come back to ballard; little beast will be a top priority tbh.

Especially loved the lamb pie, blackberry toast with oyster mushrooms and scotch egg. So delicious! Vibes are cozy and I’ll definitely be returning.

Pretty good, though nothing truly stood out. Maybe my expectations were too high. The lamb korma was nice, but quite heavy. The skull dessert had an overpowering lavender flavor when I had it a month or so back. Cocktails were decent.

Recently me and my husband dined here and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The scotched egg was a solid starter — nicely prepared with a crisp coating and rich filling, though a bit on the salty side.
For mains, the lamb pie with korma gravy was excellent — hearty, flavorful, and comforting — and the 120-day aged steak was cooked beautifully. Both dishes were absolutely delicious.
Service-wise, our main courses came out quite slowly, but the waiter handled it really well — he kindly took the price of our first drinks and fries off the bill, which was a thoughtful gesture we appreciated. We were actually planning to tip him generously for his great service, so it came as a surprise to see a 22% automatic service fee already added to the check.
Overall, a mix of great food, kind service, and
a surprise of tipping policy.

Lovely experience. The Sunday Roast took me back to beautiful childhood memories. Pimm’s cup and a true Guinness was a nice treat too. We will be back!
