I don't know how to put this. I asked the bartender to give me the strongest draft beer they have. She said she doesn't know. Then I asked if there was a menu I could look into that might have that information. There was none. You be the judge.

Excellent burger, not a whole lot more to add. Get the double if you can handle a big beefy burg. Fries are great as well. wash it down with a manny's.

Typical tavern food. My son likes the burgers & they were good. The pork cutlet sandwich ordered by the people next to us was huge! Next time will order that. Fries were good & enough to share.

Cool spot for an easy and satisfying midday meal. Surprised to see every barstool filled on a Tuesday afternoon, but it must be a popular local watering hole. Ordered at the bar -- Tavern Burger ($7) and a Tavern Salad ($10) -- and then chose a table. Bartender wasn't the warmest but that's ok, the food was good and the atmosphere hit just right. Parking lot out back and street parking available too.Just a note, they have a nice outdoor patio, but they do *not* allow dogs on leashes.

This place is really a bar with pretty good burgers. The burgers remind me of bowling alley burgers from back in the 1980's. Pretty good

I stopped at Loretta's Northwesterner while in the area after Yelping local burger places and remembering that this one has been on my "must try" list for awhile. I rarely am in the South Park neighborhood at a mealtime so this had to be fate today! In my notes I listed to try the Tavern Burger and fries so I ordered the standard Tavern Burger and a side of fries along with a Rainier draft pint. A great tavern meal! This burger and fries meal did not disappoint. They toast the bun on the burger which adds a satisfying crunch to each bite and there is a nice combination of cheese and pickle and a juicy patty. The fries are like 5 guys style with the skin on and cut just the right size and perfectly greasy. I did have to pay for a side of secret sauce which I thought was complimentary but it was tasty and went well with the fries. Great service and a good ambiance in Loretta's. The bar seemed typical but cozy and the staff were interacting well with them. I sat at a table inside. There is an outdoor fenced area out back that is decorated nicely and will be great in the warmer months. So this burger ranks up there with the price only being $7 and it being prepared very well with the right amount of condiments. I will return here when in the area as it is a good bargain and delicious!

A little bit of old Seattle peeking out at you. Awesome folks work behind the bar and the food is reasonably priced.

The food, and the service, gets five stars from me. This establishment is nice and clean as well. I finally got to try Loretta's Northwesterner! I got the Tavern burger with cheddar cheese, then added lettuce and tomato with a side of fries. This by far was one of the best burgers I've ever had! The bun was toasted to perfection, veggies were fresh, and the hand pressed charbroiled patty was very juicy. The homemade fries were straight fire! My only concern is that I didn't get two burgers. I highly recommend this place to everyone who loves a great homemade burger and fries.

Love this spot. Probably the best burger I have ever had, we loved them so much we went three days in a row! Divey atmosphere, a little dark but very friendly and comfortable. Bartenders are great, friendly. We wound up here on the recommendation of a server at another great local spot when we asked for the best bloody marys in the area. He said Loretta's without hesitation. I should point out that the bloodys depended a lot on the bartender - they were not using the same recipe. So one day they were amazing, the next day they were mediocre. But the burgers never missed! Love the fries, and all the available dipping sauces. We went in February and the place got pretty well packed all three visits. Very popular. There is outdoor seating available as well, which is terrific. But no dogs allowed, even in the outside area FYI.

Best burger (tavern burger) I've ever had that wasn't at Dick's! The fries are incredible, too, as were the Bloody Mary's! The bartenders are all amazing, and the outdoor seating area is fantastic!
