Been a customer for 2 years. This time I placed an order via grubhub and when I went to collect it. The person at the counter said very rudely that they don't like grubhub anymore so they just shut down their tablet which receives orders from grubhub instead of actually deactivating their grubhub order account. So anybody who had placed an order via grubhub would end up at this restaurant expecting their food, and instead only then would the person at the counter tell them to go back and ask for a refund from grubhub.I have never before seen such a display of irresponsibility on behalf of a restaurant. If you don't like grubhub, then don't turn that tablet with grubhub OFF. Keep it ON so that whatever order you receive there you can cancel so that customers don't have wait for their order and then told later that they can't have their food. Unbelievable.

First, the sandwich. The outside pita bread was really well toasted, and had serious weight to it - it was pretty dense. I found that this added a really great outer layer to each bite of the Gyro wrapThe lamb and beef were quite plentiful - even to the point where they would often spill out of the sandwich. The portion size was pretty impressiveI also really liked the way these tasted - they were quite flavorful - and not overcooked at all - rather quite juicy when you bit into themThe vegetables were also good - what I would say is a bit more diversity in vegetables (eg: adding black olives, mushrooms, etc..) as this mostly just consisted of lettuceand a few onions thrown in. Also probably less vegetables in general would be betterI loved the white sauce in this - it mixed so well with everything else - coating the pita, vegetables, and especially the lamb and beef in a beautiful outer layerThis is what really elevated the sandwich as a wholeAdditionally, for the relatively low price point, this sandwich was actually pretty large - something that was impressiveI do wish the wrap stayed together a bit more, however - as stuff was constantly falling out and I would have to put it back in. This is where the increased amountof lettuce didn't help the experienceNow, let's get to the real star of this order - the Greek FriesThere are words to describe these - but I'm not sure I have the vocabularyAll I can say is that I haven't had Greek Fries even close to this before - as a matter of fact - I haven't had any french fries even close to this beforeA lot of people think Greek Fries are about the feta cheese you put on there. What Sultan's understands is that yes, the feta cheese is really important, which is why they have a ton of it on thereHowever, what they also understand is the real key is the Tzatziki sauce - and the amount of itWhat good is Greek Fries if the cheese just falls through the fries? Or, what good is it if the sauce and cheese are just applied to the top layer of friesand all the remaining ones near the bottom remain dry? What truly makes these fries all-time is the amount of the sauce they use - what this does it a) allows the sauce to take over the entire box of fries andb) allows the cheese to really stick to the friesThe amount of this sauce + cheese combination used means that even though at the start it's only applied to the fries at the top, while eating it flows downand fuses itself with all the fries at the bottom as wellWhen I say coat the fries, that's an understatement. Each individual fry is absolutely smothered in this mixture - which is truly what makes these so incredibly goodWhen I want Greek Fries, I don't want my fries to feel like they're dipped in the sauce. I want my fries to feel like they are the sauce - so the majority of the flavor comesfrom the sauce itself and not the fries. The fries should simply exist as a backbone - something to give texture. It should play a similar function to what the pita does in the GyroNowhere is that more present than in these fries - where each fry is practically drowning in the Tzatziki sauce + feta cheese combinationYou know there's a lot of sauce when after every fry, I have to lick my fingers clean of the sauce - and this still tasted amazingI don't know if I need to even mention this, but for the price point, these are also incredible as wellOverall: A pretty-good wrap with all time fries delivers excellent resultsClassic Lamb & Beef Gyro: 8.15/10Greek Fries: 10/10Overall: 9.25/10

You have a lot of gyro and shwarma options in the U District and this is certainly a delicious one. Easy lunch take-out service, highly flavorful chicken shwarma and the BEST quality napkins on the Ave.
