Great local diner, just as you would expect on the main street strip. Massive portions and friendly wait staff. Has a little bit of a "hole in the wall" feel, which feels sincere and is a positive in my book. Prices are a little high, which is why four stars. Good stuff!
Relaxing and quick, the Hometown Cafe pleases the hungry appetite. I had the turkey pannini - although it was good, it wasn't as good as the chicken wrap that a member of our family tried. There's a wide selection of lemonade and iced teas to accompany your meal and the Ranger Cookie has great flavor and can be shared by two people.
Very average place, nothing to really brag about. The food is okay at best. Was charged for strawberry topping that I never got and had to bring it to their attention. The place is rather small even with an up stairs so be prepared to rub elbows with the table behind you and next to you. Parking is also an issue because it's sumner.
Good coffee. Son liked hashbrowns and scrambled egg. Only one size of chocolate milk is the small at the large price.
Had no idea where to go for brunch on a Sunday headed home from a weekend away - best choice we made when we stopped at Hometown Charm Cafe. Cute little tucked away diner with amazing comfort food. Their cinnamon rolls are to die for!!
It is always great!! Hate that they ran out of the country fried steak on mother's day.... But Love it and will keeep going there!!
I found this gem this weekend with my friends when they came into town, and I am so happy that I did! Small spot, with a 45 minute wait, but it was 11am on Mother's Day, so in the grand scheme of things, not bad! We were able to call ahead and get on the waitlist, and then enjoyed the cute downtown shops. Food: so delicious and lots of it! We started with a cinnamon roll and shared with the table, what a dreamy homemade delight. I got the biscuits and gravy, and holy homemade amazingness, they were great. And can we talk about the bacon. GREAT BACON!! Service: our waitress was on point. She was personable, timely, made great recommendations. All in all - I have found my new breakfast spot!
Quaint little Cafe with awesome cinnamon rolls. I had your standard eggs and bacon with an English muffin (sorry love pepper). No exaggeration, best bacon I have ever had! I will visit again when in the area.
Cute interior. Good service Sadly average food. It's a pity because I want to like this place.
We came here on a Sunday morning at 10:00 and were instantly seated. It's super cute and tiny, but didn't realize until afterwards that there is seating upstairs too. They even have some tables outside. I had seen a post on Facebook about their baked goods and everything looked really good and I wanted to try it. I got the corned beef hash, my daughter got the fruity people pancakes, and my husband got the eggs Benedict. Food is really yummy! The portions are just right , a little more on the spendy side. The staff was really nice. We will definitely make this one of our go to places
The BEST place to eat in Sumner. April is THE BEST! I have NEVER had a bad experience with Hometown. I work right across the parking lot from here and the food always smells and tastes so delicious. The cinnamon rolls are the best ever! The portions on everything is so big. You will definitely need a to-go box. You definitely get your money's worth. I recommend Hometown to everyone. You can't go wrong when it comes to Hometown
Hometown charm cafe is awesome. The Turkey panini is so yummy. Comes with avaocado and cranberry’s bong. Favorite all time. And all the desserts are over the top good. Cinnamon rolls are 2 of the sizes of Cinnabon and better. Always stop in for the friendly service and yummy food.
My son and I had breakfast here a few days ago. We both had the chicken fried steak. It was excellent and the portions were so big we couldn't eat all of it. The restaurant was extremely busy with a line out the door waiting to get in. Even with everyone being so busy the food was delivered very fast and the employees were attentive and friendly. Before we left I bought some of their desserts, a mini chocolate cake with raspberry filing and chocolate chip cookies, all I can say is WOW.
How does this place have any bad reviews!!! I’ve been coming here for years it’s amazing service food etc. I looked up the address to send to my mother to meet me here this morning and noticed some people being petty.. if you like good food and good service this place is for you… if you’d rather have rude service and disgusting food maybe IHOP is for you!! Don’t mess with small Town Sumner!!!
We were lured in by the promise of rhubarb pie. Chose to share a pastrami and Swiss panini in order to save room for dessert. On our way upstairs I could not help but notice the filthy condition of the carpet. I don't approve of carpeted floors in restaurants to begin with, but in high traffic areas they truly require daily vacuuming which is certainly not happening here. Our sandwich was OK, nothing special. The pie was good but when I asked for ice cream for my husband's portion, the waitress didn't know if they had any..it turned out they didn't. Overall this place gives the impression of not really trying very hard because they have a great location and not much competition.
