Disclaimer: I'm completely new to Somali cuisine. My friend and I tried both the goat with soor and the chicken katakata. Both tasted great and were great "first timer" dishes, IMO. This place does seem to keep busy (we dined-in there on a Friday night; the katakata came out way ahead of the goat), but my friend and I weren't pressed for time and the staff was very nice.

Customer service sucks. They won’t answer the phone and when you order up front the food takes longer to come out even though everyone is in the back kitchen and also other people will get served before you. Really unprofessional and will definitely stop taking my business

Horrible experience. Mine was an easy order and it took them 30 minutes especially on a slow day. I was ahead of 3 people that ordered and they all got served except me. The employee was rude and unprofessional.

Delicious food and very friendly people! Our food took some time to come out and the cashier came out to apologize and gave us some fried triangular pastries(?) that had meat, veggies, and spices on the house. Everything was fresh and made to order. Great service and yummy food, highly recommend!

The food ordered slapped but the service was lacking. Maybe it was due to it being close to closing time but it took awhile for me to order my food, I was not fully done ordering and the cashier left and went to the back for more than 10 minutes. I had to ask a cleaner to get the guy so I could order more. However, they were all friendly!
Great food and service. The lamb gyros were incredible. I could eat a bag of the Sambusas.

Great restaurant. I’ve door dashed a few times and the rice and chicken is delicious. $15 for a meal that takes me a day and half to eat. You can find the best authentic Somali restaurant in Seattle here. Well done Hawla Kismayo & Grill!
