Just came from there. They are open for take out only but it's worth doing for lunch. I had Tom Yum soup and my wife Pad Phet with shrimp. We live 2 blocks away and the food was still real hot when I got home. If your looking for a change of eating home stuff , they offer many wonderful dishes. Small businesses can use our help now.
The people there are súper nice and friendly. I couldn't believe how friendly they were because they are always at your service and want the best for the customer. I really like this place, the food is very good and the portions are a fair amount, it is a little spendy but worth going!
Very tasty food. New owners in that location have made changes in decor that are very nice.
Garlic Pork Ribs. So good. Actually Everything is Good.
Great Lemongrass Chicken salad. Excellent service! Yum!
Excellent Thai food. Wonderful service.
This is best Thai place on Vancouver hands down! Good food, large portions, and a great price. A friendly staff as well. I recommend this if you are looking for fantastic Thai food!
I highly recommend Nam Jai Thai! The food is authentic and so good! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean and nice.
Not sure if they even make a sweet and sour chicken but I ordered it and it was more of a curry. Unfortunately, I didn't not expect this and it was also very liquidy and didn't do well in the paper box. Thai iced tea was very good though.
Loved it! Staff was very polite, restaurant was clean and stylish, and their yellow curry was amazing ❤️
Their hot wings are phenomenal. Great pumpkin curry. Staff are always friendly.
Quick and friendly service. I usually get the pumpkin curry and my girlfriend gets the pad Thai and they are both amazing!
Not sure where the other reviews went for Nam Jai, but they serve one of the best curries I have ever had. It's their pumpkin curry. All the other dishes we have had here were excellent as well. Fast friendly service too.
We Really loved our meal. It was Halloween so there wasn’t many people here. We had the fried calamari appetizer—great Spice and crunch, not greasy. We also had the garlic black pepper with shrimp which was exceptional and the Pod Kee Mao which was the best I’ve ever tasted. The service was excellent and will definitely be back. My husband says the food was exquisitely flavored.
We have eaten in here once and got the salad rolls to go 3 times and found the food to be great. They have redone the inside which looks beautiful and we'll be returning
We have ordered take out twice and have been pleased. Hearty servings and good service. The tofu salad rolls are very fresh. Pineapple fried rice was good. Pad Thai with lemongrass chicken was a pleasant surprise. Leftovers taste even better the next day. What a welcome addition to our neighborhood.
Very friendly staff. I didn't realize the previous Thai restaurant was no longer at this location. My husband and I placed a to go order. The food was mediocre at best. We were hungry so we ate dinner, but the leftovers are going to get tossed. My husband ordered a side of the salad rolls and he devoured them; that was the best part of the meal.
We have had takeout two different times. The taste each time was ok but every one of our dishes barely had any vegetables and minimal meat. For example, my noodle dish last night had five small pieces of bell pepper. We probably won’t return again.
I was a big fan of the previous restaurant at this location, Dok Koon Thai and was very disappointed when it closed. Luckily, Nam Jai Thai took over and actually improved both the restaurant appearance and the taste of the food. We had the Chicken Pad Thai, Lemongrass Chicken, Tofu Salad Rolls, Pineapple Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, and a Thai Iced tea. Everything was fresh, generously portioned, and tasted excellent. My only minor criticism comes from the insufficient spice level for "level 5", it could have been kicked up a bit more. Will be back for sure!
Yellow Curry, My favorite!! So much flavor! The owner is always friendly.
Excellent food and friendly service. The portions are very generous.
The place is clean and the people friendly, however, we noticed after the fact that there were only 2 reviews and thus the 5 star rating. My chicken satai tasted off, spring rolls tasted like oil, beef salad was more like beef jerky, fried tofu was ok. What else can I say? I won't be back.
We really enjoyed this new Thai place. It has great service, competitive prices and great fresh food. We had spring rolls and shrimp tempura, and Thai Tea, I recommend this place for Thai food.
Excellent pumpkin curry! Very nice atmosphere. Great service! I will continue to eat here for sure.
Amazing food as well as service!! Looking forward to going again!!
Very nice presentation, restaurant is welcoming and quiet, and the employees are very helpful. The meal was great, really high quality meat
We had the phad thai and spicy wings. The food was very good. We enjoyed the spicy wings the most.
We came on their opening day. Super great service and food!
Loved it! This is my son and my first visit. We were delighted by how tasty their short ribs and chicken pad Thai are. We will definitely be back to try out more delicious meals.
Great Food and Great Customer service! Will visit again. Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee is one of the best I've tried.
My new favorite thai place in the 'couv! The interior has a sleek & cozy contemporary look with comfortable chairs and booths. A photo of Thailand royalty can be seen as the highest photo on the wall which tells you that this place is legit operated by Thais. The interior music was an easy listening contemporary station, playing instrumental covers of billboard tops from the late 90's and on.
A successful restaurant needs to have something special to draw us in. Several unique and savory dishes with fresh ingredients and warm hospitality is what keeps me interested and returning. The former Dok Koons had set the bar for this, and Namjai will keep it going.
As a long time former Dok Koon regular I am pleased after my first trial! Salad rolls and Pad See Ew.
The food was awesome! Great customer service!
This small restaurant has a varied menu and very good food. The food tastes as if it is prepared especially for you and there is easily enough for two meals in each item. The peanut sauce is the best I've ever tasted!
The food is AMAZING. This family-run restaurant has everything you could wish for in a Thai place. Atmosphere, great food, and smiling faces. I highly recommend it!
delicious food and great service. We arrived before closing, but were welcomed in and told to take our time and enjoy our meal. No rush.
I cannot seem to get past the garlic shrimp - best ever! Add fresh cucumber for a new twist! Start your dinner with the salad rolls, great peanut sauce!
Oh my gosh, it was delicious! The servers were very friendly and helpful if you had any questions. The food, which was way more than we could eat, came fast and very flavorful. We will definitely be going back
