Don't let my review deter you from visiting! Usually, this place is fantastic, but I want to share a recent disappointing experience for transparency.About a month ago, I hosted a business meeting here with 10-12 people. The waitress mentioned a Miso Seafood Pasta Special, with only one portion left. After everyone else ordered, I decided to try it. Unfortunately, my meal never arrived. Despite reminding the waitress after everyone else finished eating, it took a long time to come out. It was frustrating to watch my colleagues enjoy their meals while mine was nowhere to be seen. When it finally did arrive, I had to take it to go, and I was still charged full price without an apology or explanation for the delay. It was evident my meal was forgotten, and there was no effort to make up for missing out on dining with my group. Though I would have asked for the charge to be removed in other circumstances, I felt hesitant in a business setting. I ended up eating the meal cold later that night, which was still enjoyable, but the experience was disappointing, especially considering the anticipation built by the waitress's description of the special dish.Overall, this place is usually great, with delicious food, good drinks, and decent service. However, I suggest sticking to the bar side where the staff excels, unlike the mediocre service in the restaurant area.

While exploring various venues for my father's retirement celebration, I stumbled upon The Sedgewick as a potential choice. We had a guest list of approximately 75 individuals, and this family-operated establishment went above and beyond in delivering an exceptional experience. The ambiance they created was outstanding, complemented by their excellent food, beverages, and customer service. I highly endorse this downtown Vancouver restaurant for anyone looking to host a memorable event. They truly made the evening unforgettable for our entire group.

Underwhelmed, especially given the high price points. I had to ask for salt for my pasta and my partner felt the dishes were overdone. The sofa was ripped and my menu had been spilled on and had water stains. Having spent $200 between the two of us, we have no need to go back.

It was my first time in the area and stopped in for lunch based on good reviews. Very happy I did! I could not decide what to get, due to their diverse menu and tasty sounding options. They have everything from birria tacos to bone marrow and escargo. I went for the "Murry's Corner Burger" with the duck fat fries. I have thought about it all day and can confirm it was the best burger I have ever had! They use ground rib-eye and it was so juicy. The flavor was amazing and the duck fat fries were incredible. The price for everything on the menu seemed absolutely reasonable. I came up from PDX and will be returning soon!(if not regularly). Highly recommend.

It's a neat little place, at least it seemed little, I could be wrong. Interesting menu. Can't say I've been to a place like it before so 5 stars for originality. The food was excellent but again, different then what im use to, don't even know how to explain it... some kind of Asian fusion or something. I had the scallops, they were wonderful and I'm not a seafood fan. The pork was awesome, bone marrow was superb and I tried a snail so scratch that off the bucket list. Although I liked it, sort of a one and done for me; been there, tried it, liked it, moving on. I still do recommend it. Just not for me as a regular joint to visit. I'm simple: meat and potatoes type

My fiancé and I had heard great things about this place so we decided to check it out for ourselves. We were sat on the bar side. I would recommend asking to be sat on the restaurant side. Our server, Sam, was awesome! The food, although interesting and on the expensive side, was quite good. The downside of the whole experience was being sat in the bar side though. There was a football game on and a couple of the patrons were very into the game to the point where they were yelling at the tv, clapping loudly and being incredibly disruptive to the other guests. Overall, it was pretty tacky to have such a nice bar charging an average of $15 a cocktail to have a football game on. If that's the scene we had wanted, we'd of chosen a sports bar. It really took away from a good experience. If this wouldn't have happened it would have been a 5 star rating. Our server assured us this was out of the norm, but it was a playoff game. Again, go to a sports bar if you want to be rude and disruptive to other guests spending a few hundred dollars on dinner. I would go back, however, ask to be sat on the restaurant side.Parking: Street parking
