My partner took me here for a birthday date- while she grew up here and I have lived in Yakima going on 8 years, we'd never been. We loved the atmosphere (it reminded me of Irish pubs in WNY where I am from and I am all about that nostalgic homey feeling), the wait person was wry and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. We look forward to coming back!

The food is soooo good- we’ve had corned beef and cabbage, the rueben sandwich, and their cheese burgers! The atmosphere and relics hanging on the wall just adds to the great food.Parking: You get a cozy, pub feel which means a smaller parking lot. Parking next door and walking is an option, too!

Expect a warm, friendly welcome walking in the door here! Then, seat yourself and order a delicious drink. Lots of beer and other options. Food's good and the grilled lemon pepper chicken plate's delicious (veggies perfectly steamed and amazing mashed potatoes with brown gravy). My only critique is the loaded potato soup - it tasted like powdered milk and had a gloopy, gross consistency. Other than that, this place is awesome and I would visit again.

Went here for a late night meal. I had the chicken breast which came with cauliflower and broccoli and I opted for the soup (potato and leek). The chicken and veggies were well done and flavorful but the soup wasn't very good and adding seasoning didn't help enough. Also had mashed potatoes which were delicious.

I left Yakima for 20+ years, came back, and this place hadn't really changed from how I remembered it. Cozy and comforting. It's also one of the only places on the west side of town that stays open late. Keep on keeping on, McGuire's.
