This is hands down the best sushi place on the south side of Milwaukee! Get the Ricky Roll, you won't be disappointed. All you can eat sushi and lunch specials are awesome. Check their website for more.Update! Newly renovated since my last visit! The space is much larger with clean and modern bathrooms.

I was visiting from Cali where sushi is staple, Kyoto was excellent. Had the chef's special because of the variety.Simple said...delicious. service was great and pricing was moderate compared to west coast. Highly recommend.

I have conflicting feelings about my experience here. It was bittersweet due to the poor service but the good quality food. First impressions: Our host was having a hard time sitting us down. 2 adults and a tot was difficult despite there being plenty of space. The tables the waiters pick out are very disorganized. When you think of a restaurant, certain sections belong to certain waiters. It was awkward to have my waitress go back and forth through the whole restaurant. I wasn't able to catch her attention half the time. It was busy, and I understand that, but if they have no organization, they're going to get orders wrong and have unsatisfied guests. I ordered 2 rolls and an appetizer, and both were very delicious. On that note, I ordered miso soup, just to find out at the end of my meal they didn't bring it to me but still charged me. The waitress was nice, but she was talking way too much to the other waitresses. She not only got my order wrong but made me feel like she wasn't present throughout my whole meal. This restaurant won't be my first choice next time I think about wanting sushi.Vegetarian options: There are veggie rolls.Kid-friendliness: Highchairs and boosters available.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, no need for a ramp.

Good food, but service was an unorganized mess. The host had us wandering around before they decided where to seat us. The waiters didn't appear to have assigned sections, so ours wasn't easily accessible when we needed attention. I had to ask for my beverage three times, and the server still got it wrong. I didn't complain nor point it out. She just kept forgetting to bring it. The server was more concerned with gossiping and even tried to tell us it. Items were missing from our order, so we just had them removed from our bill at the end.

Matthew is THE best server. The Snow White roll is our favorite. Great specials before 7pm. Their House White wine is surprisingly really good! Authentic hot green tea. Kids love the Japanese sodas. Their ginger salad dressing is so good, we regularly buy a quart of it to go. Great lunch specials during the week. Recent remodel/expansion made the atmosphere less cozy and warm. I hope they dim the lighting to help with this.
