Had dinner Friday night and was less than impressed. Our server Dani didn’t even greet us at the table for over 20 minutes after we finished our salad. She was rude and acted entitled. As for the food, average quality and way overpriced. Will spend our money elsewhere!

I come into town a few times a year from out of state and have always enjoyed stopping at Colonial House for their Friday fish buffet. Was very disappointed to find out our regular server we usually request is no longer there. The service we recieved was subpar in comparison. Sad to see the place going downhill with new management and new employees. Guess I'll have to find a new spot to go when I'm in town.

For the price for the buffet I was disappointed. The prime beef was terrible and the lobster was tough. I would recommend the salad bar. That was the best part of our dining experience

The waitress was terrible. The food was mostly all deep fried, advertised chicken cordon bleu and it was a casserole, the dessert was boxed brownies. We went on Valentine's day and so you would think it would be upscale but absolutely not. Twice baked potatoes were boxed mashed potatoes with some poppers mixed in. Absolutely not worth $26.50 a person. I would never recommend

This place use to be amazing, but some recent changes have taken it downhill, hard. The food quality has been getting worse and now our favorite servers aren't even there anymore. Ownership changed hands some time ago and nothing has changed for the positive. The Saturday night snow crab legs use to be really good.. now they're overcooked to the point of the meat disappearing from the shell.

Had reservations at 6:30pm for 10 people on a Saturday for the buffet. They never called for our party so we went to ask at 7:05 what was going on and the hostess said “Sorry we don’t have a table for that many”. She didn’t care at all that we were past our reservation time and absolutely didn’t try or care to get us seated. Finally at 8:00pm we had to go speak to the hostess again to ask what was going on at that point we were told we would get seated shortly. Get up to the buffet and they were all out of the lobster claws & crab legs and stuffed mushrooms. They ran out of Blue Gill within 20 mins from when we sat down and replaced with perch along with a few other menus items that were not replaced.
For $40 a person and out of the two major things that one would pay that amount for the buffet was a huge disappointment. If they would have actually honored our reservation for 6:30pm we would have been able to enjoy all that the Buffett had to offer but sadly it didn’t play out that way. Waitress was very nice and apologized and did knock off $10 each however still at $30 which was still more than the Friday night buffet we all still thought overpriced for so many items being not available. $20 would have been more like it

Really rude service. Mediocre food. We came in a big group, the blue haired waitress was pretty rude to everyone. I understand we had a large group, and it was a busy night, but I feel like the attitude she gave everyone was pretty unprofessional considering how expensive this place is. Not to mention the fact that if you have a group of 6 or more, you have to pay an automatic 18% gratuity tip, so despite the horrible service we still ended up having to tip her 18%. When asked for another drink, she gave my father in law a rude shrug and ignored his request. I literally have never seen a waitress do that to a customer. At the end of the meal, my mother in law asked the waitress if she could add her grandchildren to her bill, the waitress snapped back "I could, but I don't have the time." I think those were the two most shockingly rude things she did, but there were plenty of other frustrating things. Our food came out to us in different waves. The people who ordered burgers got there burgers like 10 minutes before the people who ordered chicken got their chicken. The waitress who brought out the food wasn't the one who took our orders so she didn't know where anyone's food was. I ordered the half pound burger. It was about the size of a McDonald's happymeal burger, and burnt. Had to get ketchup just to cover the charred taste. The burgers have nothing on them by the way. No lettuce or tomatoes, no pickles, no onions. I understand a lot of people are coming here for seafood, but if you were thinking of getting a burger, you'd be significantly better off going to Culver's. The staff will likely be much nicer to you, your burger will be juicy and filling, there will be actual toppings, and it will probably be cheaper too.

Lobster was gone by the time we were seated at 6:30 PM, Hmm. This is an every Saturday occurrence, and you don't have enough Lobster to last more than a couple of hours. Was really expecting a lot more after all the reviews I had seen on Facebook, the rest of the food was good. The drinks were good and big, very reasonable. I drove 123 miles and was kind of let down

Ran outta certain things on the buffet but made up different things to accommodate the many people waiting. Servers did an awesome job trying to keep everything running as smoothly as possible. Really need to get back the crab leg forks for easier access. We will be coming back soon for another round.

First time coming to the Saturday night Buffet. Had reservations for 4:30 thought it would be a good time , but unfortunately the food on the Buffett was not hot in fact it was barely warm. Some items were cold. Overcooked prime rib. The crab legs were ok until a batch came out so salted it ruined the flavor of the crab. Our waitress was attentive and nice though so that was good . We drove over an hour to get there. $100.00 for 2 people (including tip) Not worth it.

Saturday night buffet can’t be beat. Great food for the price. We go often. Not five stars because this past weekend that I went, we had a party of eight and our waitress explained that there was already gratuity added to our Check but you know it’s Christmas so she would appreciate more. A little forward a little rude less is more.. that was a definite turn off.
Great place!

I love coming here for my Friday fish with my kids. It’s such a good deal coming here. I have been coming here for the last few years now. I always have to ask for Khrysta as my server. She does such an amazing job! She is always on top of everything. She has such great attitude! If I ever have an odd request she has always been on top of it, even when it’s really busy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service. The food has always been great. Hopefully some day to come on a Saturday night.
