We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food since the ambience is nothing special. Do try the crispy Brussels sprouts. The chicken tetrazzini was decadently rich. All entrees could easily serve two so we had leftovers for dinner the following night. Some freshly ground pepper would be a nice touch. Our young server was very pleasant and accommodating. It was a slow night so the noise level was low but it could get much louder when busy, I'd imagine.
My wife and I had the special. 12oz. Prime rib, cooked medium well. Prime rib had a good section of fat and lacked flavor. Grilled Brussel sprouts were good and the asparagus was very thin but had good taste. We also ordered a side of the loaded garlic mashed potatoes. Smoked bacon overwhelmed the taste of the potatoes. Also order a cocktail. Bourbon Maple Old Fashioned. Too sweet!! Could not taste the flavor of the Bourbon. Did not finish the cocktail. Service was good but the...
Friendly staff. Food was okay not great. We loved the Fitchburg location and never had a mediocre meal. Friday nights experience was nice but definitely not a great experience. Don't know if it was a new cook but the food wasn't up to the standard they've had before. Good service and good drinks.
