Some of the comments are petty and unnecessarily harsh. This restaurant is one of the few bastions of authentic Chinese food in the Madison area. I order from Nani's frequently and have never had an issue. I was really impressed by their dim sum offerings- definitely the largest and best quality in Wisconsin. I had been craving preserved egg congee and couldn't find it anywhere else. They have soup with fish air bladder which I have also never seen in Madison. If you nitpick about not having a three star Michelin experience, you don't have realistic expectations. Complaining about rising prices and "smaller portions"? The cost of raw ingredients doesn't stay the same forever! If you've ever been to SF, things are twice the price and half the volume. These prices are totally reasonable- The restaurant is just trying to get by. People are so short sighted- Before you leave a harsh review complaining about the "ambiance" in a casual family run restaurant, maybe think about the consequences. If you don't support restaurants in your community then they will go away. Remember not to complain when there are no decent Chinese food options left.

My friend brought me to Nani's last fall, and I fell in love with the dim sum and thought that this would be the perfect place to have our first event of the year. We were able to hold our meetup in a private room that was equipped with a bar (bartender, Kevin). Justin (the owner) and his team were amazing to work with. I highly recommend trying their dim sum and if you're looking for a spacious private room to hold an event, give them a call.

Don't give up your quest for good Chinese food in Madison because this is it. Nani is *AMAZING* & delicious! First off, dim sum every day? Yes and that's just the front page of the menu. Flip it over and there is a full menu of entrees, most of which contain meat, FYI. These are menu items worth highlighting:Stir-Fry Mixed Vegetables - no kidding, this is my favorite menu item. It is SO GOOD. The sauce is delicate and bold at the same time, dish includes sheet tofu and lotus as well as other vegetables to make a fantastic overall texture.Chaozhou-Style Dumpling - steamed dumplings filled with yummy deliciousness - shrimp, peanuts... nom.Stuffed Sticky Rice In Lotus Leaf - my son loves these. They have a bit too much 5 spice flavor for me, but he's crazy about them.Beef Lo Mein - I promise this is better than all other lo mein you've had in Madison. Thin noodles reduce that doughy texture that some lo mein has.It is a large menu so many more items to try yet. I've only had take away, so can't comment on dining. It is so good that I don't mind at all driving from the east to the west side to pick up dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

They have a large seating area, but when we went (lunch), is was hardly busy. After seeing an online menu and seeing that they have many gluten free options, we were excited to go there. Our dishes weren't as exciting as we expected.

Jackie was our server and she went FAR above and beyond to take care of us. We were celebrating a family birthday. Everyone enjoyed all of the dishes and we especially appreciated Jackie’s friendly demeanor and attentiveness. We will definitely be back soon. Excellent experience!

[They just deleted my review.]:Credit card processing fee came out of nowhere. I paid with cash and they still took the credit card fee, service was good and i gave 20% tip. Just be careful when you pay the bill, they will charge you credit card fee no matter you pay cash or card. Never come back, they are not doing honest business.

I had a restricted diet at the time, so I could not eat much. But what I had was great. Wonton soup and mango desert. My son loved what he had too. The server was very nice.

The restaurant was packed on Christmas day so service was seriously jammed but we beat the rush and had dim sum. Delish.

Food 3/5 - Food was okay for a Chinese restaurant in the Midwest. I liked the BBQ Pork Buns and Veggie Spring Rolls the most out of the dim sum dishes that I ordered. Service 3/5 - Waiters were nice but service was a bit slow. Waited a long time for all the food to come out. I also ordered a bubble tea and they never gave it to me. Ambiance 3/5 - It's a big restaurant and very quiet inside. The bench that I sat on kept coming up. Bathroom was clean.
