Amazing smoky flavor BBQ. Lots of options from pork, beef, turkey, and chicken. Even saw hamburger on the menu. Basic sides but done well. If you want local, small and awesome BBQ, you won't find better than Smoky Jon's.

This is, by far, our family's favorite local BBQ joint. Nothing fancy. In fact, your meals are served on paper plates with plastic utensils, but the food is out of this world. Our favorite is the pulled pork sandwich - single serving - with two sides. The amount of food you get is enough to fill you up for the day, but it will be hard to stop eating. A definite "must" when in Madison.
Highly Recommend stopping in for lunch! I ordered the brisket sandwich, spicy butter corn, and coleslaw. Service was fast! Maybe 2 minutes from order to eat. When they brought the food out, I could spell it from 10 feet away. Sooo GOOD!. The food is served county fair style on strong paper plates and sides in styro-foam dishes. The food was worthy of so much more than a county fair presentation but it fit the atmosphere. Best BBQ lunch I have had in a while. The sandwich was huge! If they gave me 2 more buns there would be enough meat for 3 sandwiches. Their house BBQ is a total crowd pleaser. Sticky, full flavor, had some sweet and tang without overpowering the meat. I wish I would have taken a photo of it, because I was thinking about it all afternoon.If you want fast, casual, pure BBQ experience! Stop in. The place looks so unassuming and home town, staff was fast and kind, and the food tastes and smells were amazing!Well Done Smokey Jon's Team! See you again soon!

Gave this place a try after seeing all of the awards they won. The food was good. I wish I had some sauce for my sandwich though so be known you have to pay for sauce. They only offer one sauce too. But then again some people belive good bbq shouldn't need sauce as well. But I usually like to add a little spicy sauce to mine when I can. It's definitely a cool place and I don't really have anything bad to say about it. It just depends what kind of bbq you like. The fries were bomb though.
