Delicious food! I have eaten here to-go and dine-in and it's always right, always hot, and satisfying.

Friendly and prompt service! VERY TASTY and FLAVORFUL with satisfying portions that had just enough to put you a little past full. I had ordered the Sambosa, Lentil Soup, Chicken Doro Wot and Beef Tibs. All of which were satisfying even for my friend who was new to Ethiopian cuisine. I must also point out that I was impressed even before I got the food because I was told there was a 20min wait after ordering which indicated the food was freshly prepared and not just boxed to go.

Great vegan option with lots of flavor on Milwaukee! Also, the price for the amount of food you get is great also!

During the pandemic, we have picked up Alem multiple times. When the pandemic is over, we look forward to dining in there again, the atmosphere is nice and cozy. The owners are so nice to talk to, their food is amazing and I really like their African beer selection.

This was my first time eating Ethiopian food so while I have no benchmark, I do know this place has food PACKED with flavor and the portion sizes are amazing! I got it with my roommate on a weekend and I think she got it another 3 times in the next week and a half if that says anything about how good the food isI got the lamb, it was really flavorful and not gamey at all, and nice and tender! I've tried all the sides and you really can't go wrong with any there! I also got the baklava and OMG it's SO good. Super light and crispy and deliciously sweet. This is one of my go-to's in Milwaukee now!

Delicious takeout--love their veggie combo with yemisir wot, and their quosta (fish) and doro wat (chicken) are also fantastic. My daughter loves the lentil soup. Good for the whole family and also a great price--get lots of food for the money.
