TomKen's Bar & Grill

Stayed with friends before flying home last Thursday and we said anything but fried fish or pizza which we had eaten most of the week at our various stops to see family. So they took us to TomKens and we had a great time. I had the grilled wings and they were amazing. These were the best wings I have eaten!! And the draft Spotted Cow, was, well, spot on. This is the place to go to recombobulate.

Imagine going somewhere for wings and turning into a ghost. No hello, no menu, no water, just dismissive disrespect. But watching the bartender rush to take the order of 7 others and the 8th that had just walked in? He even moved the menu that was in front of me. Additionally, the ppl that were sitting on that side of the bar with me, got up and moved their things to a table.
Yeah, that’s when I grabbed my purse and exited stage left after letting him know FIRST that I knew he was intentionally ignoring me, he seemed relieved when I told him I was leaving and continued serving the other guy. Although my review won't change the establishment nor ppl like him, but hopefully remind some that respect is the standard not a suggestion!

Wow what an experience! I have driven by this place so often but never stopped in. The service was great and the food excellent. My husband it was the best potato pancakes he ever had. I had the “Rich Man’s Cod.” So tasty. Plenty of food and even the fish fry was great! They are known for chicken but it is all good! We will be back!

I ordered 12 Garlic Parmesan wings to go! CRISPY!!! They were AWFUL! NOT crispy , sparse sauce kinda cold. Damn can u get a refund! Ewww

Just got home from there and had spectacular food as usual! I brought a ton of boneless wings home for my wife and she loved all the flavors! The cherry bomb is delicious and hot!

What a great burger. I was meeting my group to walk in the parade. We arrived early to get a bite to eat. The tasted just like a bbq picnic for fourth of july burger should taste. It brought back memories from the past. Even the bun was grilled...it had just enough fries for me. We will be going back again soon. Next time we will try the chicken. It's what they are known for. Our waitress was awesome!!

Website mentioned that you can put in a reservation and it's recommended to do so, so I gave them a call and put in a reservation. I get there at the time of reservation just for the waitress to say they don't do reservations. Clearly there is a lack of communication somewhere along the chain. Pushed my buttons quite a bit but we did end up getting a table and food was great. Just want to let the owners know that something is amiss one way or another. Attached is a photo with the reservation banner up top in case this is a mistake.

It's one of my favorite places for fried chicken and wings. Wonderful homemade soups and suoer friendly staff.

Great local spot for lunch and drinks on our way to the ballpark. Very friendly staff chatted with us even though we were wearing Detroit Tigers attire. lol. My son & husband had the award-winning wings and ranked them the best they've ever had. I had a cheeseburger and we shared the curds. Great experience...we like a casual bar & grill and this was perfect.
