This is a fun place on the south side of Madison (really Monona area) that is unique. Good food and decent drink selection. It's an upscale sports bar maybe? However you describe it, definitely worth checking out!

Really cozy and charming atmosphere. It’s in a weird location (an apartment building) but once you park and find the place it’s a cute pub on the water. They have some gluten free choices— the gluten free burgers are good. This place is a bit nostalgic for me as my husband and I went on our first date here and it’s where I tried my first Old Fashioned. The bar is nice to sit at, but the restaurant is nice as well.

Excellent Sunday brunch menu. Highly recommend. Yes we will return. Had breakfast tacos and they were excellent.

Service & food are great. Outside patio is loud along 12 so maybe sit inside unless weather is nice & you like white noise. Decent beer selection & they're happy to bring you a taste before committing to a beer you don't like. Friday Fish - ok, a little over fried & bland but nothing some extra lemon & tartar sauce can't fix.

Large restaurant with a deck overlooking the water. Not far off the highway.Friendly service, large menu, and tasty entrees. Our waitress answered questions and made suggestions for our group of five.We enjoyed the Cheese Curds and the Hummus Plate as appetizers. The summer salad was FANTASTIC! Fresh, lots of fruit, a good serving size. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees. We chose the place based on the rating and the location for an easy meet-up. We'd definitely return.

I had to check out the Sunday funday brunch options and it didn't disappoint. They had a great choice of brunch cocktails and breakfast food dishes. I really enjoyed the "salty dog" which is Tito's vodka, fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, and salt on the rim. It was very refreshing. I also got a mimosa with fresh squeezed orange juice and that was delish. For food I got the Chimichurri steak tacos with a side of salad made with homemade vinaigrette dressing. Two thumbs up! My co-pilot got the Waypoint Benedict with a side of "thick" bacon! The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sauce was good. Bacon was not overcooked and but not too raw. Although it was it was rainy and i would of liked to sit outside and overlook the channel of lake monona, the inside was comfortable.

First and only time, but amazing customer service and outside patio view. We were greeted immediately and chose outdoor seating. Drinks and food were quick to follow and our waiter checked in with us frequently. The lake view on the patio was gorgeous! My chicken sandwich was so juicy and delicious.

Love this place! Thank you for going above the beyond with your spicy 5 bean burger. I've been a vegetarian since 1978, so I've been around the block a few times when it comes to bean burgers and this is the best one I've ever had! All the other food here has been a pleasure as well. Mix that with Friendly staff and great atmosphere and you've got a winner that I hope will become a longtime staple of the Madison area. I can't wait to try their brunch soon.

Decided to go back to Waypoint after a couple years hiatus. I had memories of a very crispy walleye that I enjoyed for their fish fry so we decided to give it a try. Great quick table seating outside by the night manager. So far, so good. Looked at the drink menu. Personal note...nothing irks me more than when price of wine per glass and the price per bottle are a wash. Really...you can't even knock the price down a smidge if you buy a bottle? And after we got our wine, they were those pretentious small pours. Anyway...on to dinner. My husband and I have gotten in the habit of sharing an entree and a salad. Salad options were out of the ordinary but I'm cool with that. Salads ranged from southwestern, to sweet, to poke bowl, to mix of grains and greens. Opted for their falafel salad. As we waited for our food, our wait person was nowhere to be found. Dinner came out promptly which is awesome but someone else brought it out. Fish was just as we remembered, but the salad was lacking. It was a mixture of quinoa and veggies and pasty, heavy falafel. Only dressing was lemon juice and tzatiki. You needed to really try to construct the perfect bite for it to make sense. It just didn't work. Our wait person was MIA and as we kept looking around, the night manager noticed us and offered to cash us out. Overall it wasn't bad, but I think I see another hiatus coming.

First time here for a Sunday brunch and had the very delicious Waypoint Benedict with a mimosa. The brunch potatoes come tossed with a slightly tangy sauce for some added flavor. I am sure you could ask to skip that if you prefer. Outdoor seating was nice but you do hear and see the beltline traffic. On a nice day it is still worth it. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful.

We came here the Thursday evening before the 2022 Great Taste, based largely on proximity to our hotel that night, the menu and the favorable Yelp reviews. We weren't disappointed by much. Once we arrived at the large apt complex this place is a part of, found a parking spot and figured out that the restaurant was at the far end (facing the highway), our walk was rewarded with a 'just in time' spot opening on the beautiful patio of the lake inlet the complexes sits on. The 'dial-it-up' weather and the fact that the sun was setting only enhanced our 'date night' experience. We quickly realized that the two main menus of interest to us - beer and food - were just about the perfect size and quality we were looking for, one page each and very few poor choices present! In fact, I remarked the next day that if I ever opened my own place, this is the size and quality of menus I would desire. The place was modern, vibrant (given the proximity of 20 and 30-something's living in the complex) and seemingly well run. I settled on the Rueben and she had the SW salad and both were fresh, VERY well-executed and extremely flavorful. Our local (Amber and IPA) taps we also fresh and delicious and the service was damn near impeccable. All in all it made for a wonderful first night in Madtown and I suspect we will be back in the coming years. Cheers Waypoint!

It is so nice to be able to sit by the lake dining out. The jalapeño popper brisket sandwich was sooo good and also such a large portion! Although the hamburger meat in the Brie burger had a weird taste, but it was still okay. The rest of the burger was good. There is a good atmosphere and I would come again to try something new!

Great food, great beer, great service! I will happily return to try everything on their menu. Some really imaginative combinations, all of which make me salivate!

Very unique food. Service was a bit lacking but really friendly. Could have better signage so you know where you are going.
