Went to Olde Madrid yesterday for a leisurely lunch with my husband. We decided to eat in & got there shortly after they opened for lunch. We each ordered The Olde Madrid Salad-delicious, with pears, blue cheese, sliced strawberries, dried cherries, spring greens and a fresh raspberry dressing. Also ordered a cold tapa, the Cortez Plate, which was the most delicious olives, chorizo, cheese and toasted bread. This was one of the best appetizers I have ever had! Not being aware of how huge the paellas are, we each ordered one. My husband's was the steak paella, while I ordered the Salmon & Shrimp Paella. Absolutely the best ever: flavorful, fresh and tasty. He was very happy with the steak paella! Each paella could have easily been shared by 4 hungry people. Needless to say, we had 4 containers of food to take home with us. Excellent value, excellent food and service. I feel that they were well able to keep up with lunch traffic, which was about 20 customers. I highly recommend Olde Madrid if you like to eat out.
Great dinner! There is absolutely nothing like Olde Madrid in Racine or Kenosha. Great food and great service! Thanks Lucy!
Food is unique when compared to what else is around and good overall, owner is very friendly and comes out to check with each table to make sure they have what they need which honestly more restaurants should start doing. Staff is very respectful and also checks with tables.
Went there tonight for the first time and really enjoyed my gumbo and artichoke dip! Very tasty and our waiter Ben was great too. Highly recommended.
Food is amazing but the wait is consistently off. I have come to dine in and been told it was a 30 minute wait only to wait 3 hours. Other times like tonight I ordered pickup. I arrived 45 minutes after placing my order at there assigned pickup time only to wait another hour for my food. I want to enjoy and support this business but the timing is so off it's very difficult
Amazing food! Friendly staff! This is by far the best food I have ever had! I would give 100 stars if I could.
Nice venue. Great food. Seating was in an horrible spot, right in the way of everyone coming out of bar area and kitchen, cornered and small, had to ask for a new table which they accommodated.
Food was so flavorful! Friendly fast staff made it a great experience.
Love the service and food, hate how noisy it is inside. Not an intimate setting at all.
Adorable place. The food was good and service was fantastic. Definitely need to try the paella. It was a bit salty but in general good. Tapas were fantastic.
Holy cow, those empanadas are divine. Best I've ever had in the US, in Spain, or anywhere else. The almond albóndigas were my guy's favorite and he raved about them, seriously raved, for the whole meal. I was disappointed by the chicken on the paella but that's what I get for not trusting my gut and getting the paella de mariscos. My pulpo was very tasty and appropriately chewy considering the proximity to salt water, which was not my favorite but nothing I did not expect. Our server was so kind and the food came out amazingly fast. It is a small place so it can get a little cramped but a wonderful experience and a great first mini foray into Spanish cuisine for my guy.
A must taste. Excellent food. Paella's and the gumbo are always my go to. One of the best foods in Racine.
First time there. A wide variety of Spanish foods and drinks on the menu. We had samples of eight different dishes and all of them were very delicious with unique flavors. Downside is that they get very busy on Friday night so expect to wait for a while table as they do not take reservations. Give them a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
What can you say? Old Madrid is hands down one of the best restaurants in southeast Wisconsin, and a blessing to Racine. You won’t be disappointed. Maria’s Beef stew, mushroom empanadas, and seafood gumbo all recommended.
friendly staff, great food, great portions, fair price.
