So we got seated immediately, but unfortunately that was the best part of the experience. we waited at least 15 minutes till a server came by. So we ordered cocktails, appetizers, & entrees all at once. 20 minutes later our appetizer came, I had to walk to the bar to ask where our drinks were, then it took awhile longer. Waited another 25 minutes for the chicken, andouille, & shrimp pasta that is supposed to come with focaccia bread, it didn't. I flagged down the server, waited another 15 minutes to get rolls, not what it was supposed to be (Focaccia). So my food was cold at that point, didn't eat a bite got a to go box. For such high expectations it didn't deliver at all.

So my wife and I went here for our 22nd wedding anniversary, first time here, on a recommendation, and let me tell you that this was an experience. First off, I made a reservation, so they knew going in it was our anniversary. They had us set at a special table, decorated for the occasion, everyone here was absolutely amazing. Sandra came to our table and talked to us personally and made us feel very welcome, also Mark came to our table several times and took our orders and made sure it was all special. First off, we got the stuffed banana peppers as a starter, and these things were so packed full of flavor and were so large, I was super happy with these. I got the Cajun Chicken Pasta. again, the flavor on this plate was great, it was an amazing blend of spices, granted, the plate was not as it should have been as they were out of some of the items that went in the dish, but they substituted the items at no charge. my wife got the braised beef I think, it was great, I only tried a taste but it was really good, had carrots and some sort of sauce it was setting in, not sure what all it was. but it was very tasty. All in all, this was an amazing experience, Sandra and Mark were outstanding, and we will hands down go back again. Live entertainment made the night so much more special for us. Also ended with a Blueberry cheese cake cobbler. Recommended by Mark, and it was so good.

We were visiting from Martinsburg WV. The locals told us this was the place to go. We didn't have a reservation and the place was getting busy to enjoy being entertained by The Rat Pack. We were disappointed and began to walk out when the owner Sandy stopped us and invited back in as if we were old friends, setting up a lovely table for us to enjoy the entertainment. Friendly, inviting and great food. Waitress was present and attentive to our needs. Highly recommend. Will definitely be a stop next time we are in Charleston.Mayor Kevin Knowles and Dana Knowles

The Bridge Road Bistro is the best in Kanawha County!! The food is exceptional. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and this complements the dining experience. The service fabulous. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests have a memorable dining experience. Prompt seating, timely food service, and a friendly demeanor all contribute to a positive impression.

We live out of town, and couldn’t make it in for Thanksgiving to see my parents. We wanted to find a way to treat them to Thanksgiving dinner and heard about Bridge Road offering Thanksgiving dinner. My parents live pretty far out of town, but we took a chance and called and talked with Mark Bongiorno, the general manager, to see if we could get it delivered. Mark told us that it would probably be too far for DoorDash or Uber Eats, but since it was a special occasion, he would just deliver it himself after closing on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We ordered from the Thanksgiving menu and paid.On Wednesday evening, when Mark arrived at my parents with the dinner, he apologized for being late - no one noticed. He said that he got a late start. My parents offered an additional tip, but Mark refused, saying that we had already taken care of everything. When we heard my parents talking about how great dinner was, we left a message, and Mark called us back. We were so thankful for his extra effort and offered an additional tip. Mark refused, telling us that we had already given him enough and he was glad it worked out.We always enjoy lunch and dinner at “The Bistro”. The food and atmosphere are always great. Mark Bongiorno is a true WV gentleman when the world needs them most. We will always remember his gesture. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the food, staff and atmosphere at The Bridge Road Bistro!

Landed at this place because we didn't have reservations at another restaurant in the area. The food was excellent. I had the salmon, and it was cooked perfectly.

Here’s over 3 hrs that we will never get back. We came in for an early evening friend’s pre-holiday dinner. They were not busy yet. It took 50 minutes to get drinks and the brie cheese chip appetizer served. Our waiter, who also tended the bar, barely came around. When we finally did get an assigned waitress, the service did not improve. It took over an additional hour to get food served. It was cold, obviously had been sitting in the kitchen. The gnocchi were tasteless with veggies not fully steamed. The crab cakes were mostly stuffing and little crab. The seafood/sausage pasta was ordered by 2 people and both barely nibbled on it as it was also bad. The only dish a person at our table enjoyed was the burger. 2+ hrs into the already disastrous evening, the band started playing, which in a bigger place could’ve been ok maybe, but forced us to yell over the music in an attempt to talk. The waitress was nowhere to be seen throughout the evening, but more importantly to ask for our checks. When we finally were able to flag her down, we had to repeat back our orders, and she still had to come back adjusting mistakes on the checks a few times. Be aware, they charge 22% tip automatically on parties of 8+ and additional fee paying by credit card vs cash. Be prepared to be disappointed in your experience.

Me and my boyfriend decided to stop here when visiting WV. We sat down and ordered a drink and soup and one appetizer shortly after. Awhile later we ordered our entrees, we both got the Black and Bleu Sirloin. After waiting almost an hour it arrived. Our "whipped" potatoes looked nothing liked that or previous patrons. The brussel sprouts were bland. My boyfriend cuts into his steak which was supposed to be medium but it was brown all the way thru and dry and you could barely chew it. My medium rare steak was perfect but could use some more seasoning. We split mine together since we wanted to get back on the road and we knew no one would be checking in with us for awhile. When the server did come to check in with us she was very nice and we let her know about the issue with his steak. We declined another one to be made because of the time that it took and quality of the food, just wasn’t worth it. I ordered their flourless cake togo. I assume a manager came by because he didn’t introduce himself and asked us what was going on. We explained the situation he seemed to imply that our server had not gotten my boyfriends order wrong with a "I wish I would have known” after asking how my boyfriend got it done. I find this hard to believe since mine was cooked perfect. It seemed like someone forgot about the steak tbh. The manager decided to comp the item and apologize. He then decided to clear our table before leaving us and his anger was so visible that he proceeds to borderline slam the plates together causing them to fall all over the table and it took twice as long as it should have bc of this behavior.I want to add that after looking at past reviews how unprofessional it is to bash your own serving staff and calling them slow and lazy. The way your serving staff acts is a direct reflection of how management is treating them. I’m sure they don’t know what to do anymore with management being so easily riled and who knows how they act towards the staff if they would act like that in front of us. I’m sure having to constantly serve food that it overpriced and under seasoned and wait don’t forget inconsistent is hard as well.

Came here for my brother's birthday. The food here was bad. My wife and I somehow paid $81 for an 8oz steak and Cajun chicken pasta. To starts my steak was cold by the time I got it and the blue cheese was disgusting. The steak wasn't seasoned and the brussel sprouts were cold. The chicken in my wife's pasta was overcooked and dry. They also only gave her one piece of bread. For the price of the food here, this place is a joke. I could've made a much better meal at home for significantly less. I'm also pretty sure the waiter charged us for two pieces of cake that we didn't want and he took forever to just give us the damn bill so we could leave.I don't understand why this place thinks their food is worth so much. You'd have to be a certain type of special to keep spending money here when there are other places in town that will serve you better food. I'll never come to this place again. This was, without a doubt, the biggest waste of time and money at a restaurant for me this year. I will not be coming back. The owners are robbing people with these prices.EDIT: And then the owner comments on this review and blames the economy for their jacked up prices. YOU ARE LYING TO YOURSELF SANDY. Get real.
