Saltiest meals BOTH my wife and I have ever had. Inedible. Should have sent it back

I ate here in mid June 2025. I had the trout with Parmesan and crab, sautéed spinach and basmati rice, and goat cheese ice cream with berries for dessert. I also had cider from a local cider maker. Everything was phenomenally delicious, and was all prepared safely gluten-free. (I am extremely sensitive to cross-contamination with gluten, and the servers and kitchen were all very knowledgeable about what I could have and how to prepare it all safely.)
It was a little bit loud for an early dinner, but that may have been because there was a large group of adults having some type of party or celebration. I'm not sure if it is that loud on a regular evening, but that is why I deducted a star for the atmosphere rating.

Was really impressed with the quality and presentation of the cuisine. This wa the rare meal out where everything, from the sides to the dessert, was perfectly executed. Also love the atmosphere, especially the fireplace and rustic flourishes throughout. The dessert (the brownie with goat milk ice cream, etc.) was one of the most decadent I've ever had and capped off a festive and memorable meal. Will return.

I ate at the bar. The ambience and decor are pleasing. I had the smash burger. 🍔

My sea bass was rubbery and partially raw, asparagus was boiled tough and pale, and side starch was actually cold. When we mentioned problems to the wait person, they couldn’t get us out of there fast enough. Bad experience for the price. McDonalds fish sandwich would’ve been better.

I’m so happy to find a great place to dine out! The Livery Tavern has a delightful ambiance, welcoming staff, and locally-sourced food. Plus, an outdoor seating area. The brussels sprouts salad is outstanding. You simply have to get the bread, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. I recommend this place to any discerning food connoisseur.

5 stars all around. Our waitress was wonderful. The food was perfect. Goat milk ice cream is creamy goodness. We will be back.

Was fortunate to be in Lewisburg again and dined at our favorite spot, The Livery. The new owners were a pleasure to meet, and we gladly told them that everything was perfect! Living 4 hrs away, we aren't here often, but it never disappoints. Filets were perfect, desserts were amazing, and service was spot on, down to meeting our request for one of the small booths that we requested during the reservation. Patty did a great job, and everyone involved truly cared about our experience. Can't wait to return!

This is our favorite restaurant in town! Each time we come, the food is superb. Patty takes care of us each time and makes it a wonderful experience. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had to wait forever for food then the steak was overcooked. I did not want to send it back to wait another hour or so again. Asked for butter for our bread the girl said the kitchen said there was no butter. My steak came with herded butter on it. The fried Brussel sprouts were just burnt leaves. Very disappointed. I had been before and it was great. I don't know what they are doing now.

This was a special place to celebrate our engagement dinner on a recent vacation. Our waitress was so sweet and so accommodating! The food was tasty, the atmosphere was lovely, but the real 5 out of 5 stars came when the manager came running out in to the POURING rain, knocked on our truck window and handed me the cutest bouquet of flowers! She said, "I was trying to not miss you and wanted to say Congratulations!" Wow, what an extra special touch and made us feel so special! Thank you all! 5+ stars for customer service and making us feel special! Especially in the downpour!

Amazing experience!

My partner and I were driving into Lewisburg for a work trip & had reservations here for dinner. We were running a bit behind on our drive from out of state, and called on our way to make sure it was ok to arrive so close to close. The owner, who was so friendly, told us they would be here and to still come in for dinner.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the experience was outstanding. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and attentive – also: the food was delicious. Every flavor was on point.

Recommend this restaurant to all – great prices on quality food and ingredients & a very nice wine list. We will definitely come back if we find ourselves in Lewisburg again.

Thank you to everyone! Stellar service & excellent management made the amazing food taste even better. What a great welcome to the town.

For reference, we ordered the boudin balls (omg so good), trout oscar, espresso ribeye, and a rhône valley red – plus some dessert to take back to our room (the flourless chocolate cake was ). All the veggies and starches were perfect. We would gladly order and eat it all again :)
