Passing thru the area and stopping at a chain hotel. The hotel staff recommended chain restaurants. I can't do that when I'm on the road, I need a local experience. Tanner's Tavern is easy to get to and definitely local, and friendly once you crack the ice. Wings are the specialty and Tobi can cook them up great. Ask before you order what's hot. I had Honey/Jalapeno wings and they were very good. I heard the jack and coke are awesome too. Be an extrovert or have a quiet time....read full review
Awesome place !!! Definitely a hidden gem. Must get the wings. They are awesome. Food is great. Great prices. Very clean. It may look a little rough on the outside, but trust me the place is nice on the inside. Service was great !!!! Loved it.

Really cool neighborhood bar. Very friendly vibe. Beer was ice cold and their kitchen was cranking stuff out for weary travelers like myself well after the normal dinner hours. The wings were excellent! I eat wings all over America, these were top tier. Fries were awesome too. Very cool place with attentive service.
