I was there about a month or so ago and I overheard the owner belittling his employees and was actively calling them stupid. Sitting at the bar you can audibly hear the people in the kitchen and the way the owner was treating his employees was extremely deplorable. Other than that, the crew there was absolutely amazing and the service was pretty good. It just kind of seems like a hostile work environment and that's very disheartening because the food was pretty good.

One of the worst dining experiences I have had. We went to celebrate a once in a lifetime achievement and wanted to splurge on a great night. Someplace that is named “Wine Bar” and has a large selection of wines, some of which are very high end, should know how to serve a Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The owner brought it to us and AFTER it was opened and decanted, said it is a “bit cold”. When I touched the decanter it was so cold that it seemed as if it had been refrigerated. Red wine should not be cold like that. The flavors will not come through and we were spending $145 for this wine. Not wanting to make a big deal, I kept trying to warm the decanter with my hands but it was not working. Our entrees had already come and the wine was not drinkable yet. When we called him over, he downplayed, saying it was just a couple of degrees too cold. This was not true. My husband asked him to help us to solve it. He went from being upbeat and personable to cold and aloof. He brought us another bottle of the same wine a vintage year earlier and asked if this one was ok temperature wise. I said that one was perfect. He decanted and poured in silence. He left and did not come back to check again. Our service for dinner was awful. Our initial cocktails came after our appetizer, and mine was brought then my husband’s a couple of minutes later. All dishes and glasses were left on the table throughout the meal until there were so many we had to stack them on a chair. Water was never refilled. My steak was overcooked and the entrees overall were mediocre. The owner never came back once and he did not make any adjustment to the check to make up for giving us a wine he knew he should not have. Terrible experience.

My husband and I wentfor date night. The food was amazing - we had the artichoke hearts, tuna, and tortellini. All were exceptionally good! Wishing we had leftovers!

The watermelon salad was great. Julie, Karen, and Duke were awesome, and I was able to get a Harvey Wallbanger!

Very intimate venue for drinks and dinner. Reservations are limited so plan well ahead. Nice charcuterie selection to go with excellent entrees. Romantic atmosphere.

We had another lovely evening at the Wine Bar. It’s definitely one of our go-to places for dinner. Everyone from the owner to the waitstaff is very accommodating. Our waitress, Julie, was a pleasure.

Not much of a wine selection, nothing out of the ordinary or anything that would standout. It's like going to an expensive sit down Walmart for wine and deli meat. No ice wine selection either.

The build your own charcuterie board is wonderful. The food never disappoints there.

Good vibe, good menu, good food, but absolutely terrible service. We had to wait for an unusually long time to order. Then the waitress rarely came over to check if we needed dessert/more drinks/refills. When we finally mentioned our concern, we were told, “Yours is not the only table she has to wait on.” We were stunned by the rudeness! Teach your staff how to behave better with customers, Wine Bar. They are compromising the appeal of your establishment.

A bit pricey but that's to be expected with quality. Awesome food, awesome cocktails, good service. I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a night out.

I always enjoy trips to the Wine Bar. Food never disappoints. Loved the Holiday martini especially - great recommendation from the bartender. I'm hoping they keep the palm fries - great flavor and a good light appetizer. We really like that we can build our own charcuterie board - you aren't stuck with a bunch of random meat and cheese you don't like.

We knew that this place would be classy when we picked it out for date night, but we completely underestimated how incredible of an experience we would have. We are new to the area and haven’t found places that we vibe at besides Apothecary Ale House, which isn’t a place you would go for a nice dinner but they have a great beer selection. Needless to say we needed a nice place where we could go for dates and dinners that would have calm energy and great options. Everything we ordered was incredible. Not great but like, so good that it would be impossible to improve it. The Ambience was to die for and the drinks were top notch with fresh ingredients instead of those cheap mixes that you get at most bars. Our Server was lovely and she was so attentive and there was never a moment where I needed to look for her. She even got us things we wanted before having to ask. It is very rare when I can go somewhere and not have something to critique but this place is by far the best place in morgantown if you are looking for a quality wholesome meal, great service and quality drinks. 1000/10 would recommend. Our experience tonight has ensured that we will be lifelong customers.

First time patron at The Wine Bar (after hearing much about it) with my wife and sons. Overall, it was a wonderful experience: 1. Classy and quiet atmosphere; 2. Solid drink selection with a great variety for any palate; 3. Food was legitimately good; 4. The staff was professional and friendly; and 5. We even met the owner (Duka). *It is always a good sign to witness a small-business owner operate with passion and a sharp attention to detail. As Morgantown residents, generally, my wife and I need to travel to Pittsburgh for this type of a date night; however, we are thrilled to have this spot in a college town. What a gem! Thank you for a great evening. We are already looking forward to returning.
