Food want that good.
Place was packed, so the wait was extremely long.
I don't recommend this place if it's full. Not worth the wait and it felt like sardines in a can.

We have been coming here for 15 years, it just keeps getting better. It is our favorite Mexican restaurant outside of Mexico. The staff works hard and the service is great. Get the Agave Special or the Mole enchilada!

Found out why the place was empty when we arrived. Asked for no lemon, got lemon. Asked for corn tortillas, got flour. Sat with an empty glass and didn't get checked on for my entire meal until it was time to pay for the really overpriced mediocre Mexican food.

Best in town. Maybe best in state, maybe best in the west?
Fun resturant. Visited at 5pm. Gets busy later in the evening. Do an early dinner for best experience.

Overall good experience. Food was yummyand staff were friendly. We were a group of ten with two separate checks and they charged a large group fee of 20% which seemed pricey.

We love Agave and it's on our regular dining-out options.
However, with the new management/ owner (?), my fav dish, camarones en Salsa Verde is no longer consistent in quality. Last month, shrimp was over cooked but the salsa verde was perfect.
Last evening, shrimp cooked perfectly but sauce was so spicy that I was unable to eat my dinner. l and I'm not a spice timid eater. Had to ask for some sour cream. On a scale of 1-5, the sauce was a 5, maybe even a 6!. Also the consistency of sauce was not creamy and smooth like before.
Also diners beware that tip is now automatically added to your bill. When paying via the mobile credit card machine, it ask if you want to add tip. If you're super pleased with your dinner and service, sure go ahead and tip extra. But some diners are not aware that tip had already been added. Just a heads up, not griping about the restaurant.
It's always amazing when I go in. Food is absolutely delicious every single time.
