“My family ate here for lunch for our the first time and was very impressed! I had Brussels salad with fried chicken, husband had fried chicken, grits, and collard greens, kids both had grilled cheese and fries. Everything tasted amazing. I was disappointed fried catfish wasn’t on the menu for lunch, but we will be back to try that another time. Our bill was cheaper than expected (2 adult meals, 2 kids meals, and 1 beer) at only $54 before tip. Highly recommend eating here!“

“Once a month, when I am returning home from Huntsville, I always stop at Lawlers BBQ in Athens. I have yet to find a BBQ sandwich better than Lawlers. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. You order and pay at one window, so there can be a back up of cars, but when you are at the window, you are the only one they care about at the moment, making sure you get what you need. So if you are number 5 in the car line, just hang in there, because your special time with Lawlers is right around the corner. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT. GREAT JOB, LAWLERS IN ATHENS, AL...“

“We had a bad experience when the Madison location opened and when we got one here in Athens my husband and I decided to give it another chance. We are SO glad that we did! It’s now one of our favorite places to eat, every staff member we have encountered has been extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is so relaxed!“

“Went in at 8pm Tues nite only 2 tables were used and at least 8-10 workers in the lobby and dining area,I waited 5 minutes and no one came to seat me,what is going on at this location this is not first time this has happened.I just went across to waffle house and was seated served in 10 minutes.Shame cb used to be the best“

“10/27/22 I just ordered a Chef's salad from Mike's on Tillman Mill Road. This salad was so good, clean, fresh, well made and packed! It was well worth the price of $8.29 and really hit the spot for me. It is packed with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, carrots, cheese, purple cabbage, cucumbers, eggs, onions and I asked for the grilled ham with it. This is now going to be my go-to place for a great salad. The service is excellent too, they really seem to have a servant's heart. I highly recommend Mike's and if you haven't been by, you are missing a treat!“

“We had the large bbq plates. Everything was delicious. We we sat as soon as we came in the door and they we busy. Our server was right there getting our orders. The hush puppy basket they bring while you wait for your food is out of this world. It looks like a little hole in the wall place, but the parking lot is always full, and the food and atmosphere are fantastic! Geeat price too!“
