“Before hitting the road, I was on the look out for a quick and healthy pick me up. That's when I came across Thunder Nutrition! With a super convenient location off Madison Blvd, I stopped there to grab a protein shake with my sister. We were the only people there on a late Saturday afternoon, so we chatted with the owners who were both very friendly. They recommended the blondie and mocha shakes which were both delicious. It kept us both full until it was dinner time. If you're in the area, stop by and grab a protein shake or tea!”

They provided menus with a small picture book of some of the menu items; I've never had this experience before. Kudos to the owners for doing this.I was informed about the different broths in each type of ramen. This label for the menu would be nice. My original intention was to order the Curry Ramen, but I held off after hearing that it had beef broth and couldn’t be changed. I ending up ordering a Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. While waiting for my order, I grabbed some complimentary Peach Oolong Tea, which was very appreciated. I even grabbed some to-go!Once I received my ramen, I was a little surprised to see a hard boiled egg. Most places usually have soft-boiled, and one of the owners indicated that they intend to continue this going forward. I’m personally not a fan, but the ramen was decent. The broth wasn’t as hearty, but definitely imparted a good umami flavor. The chashu was nice and thick. We were also served some house made kimchi, which I enjoyed. It had a nice crunch but could use some spice.The owners indicated that they were still experimenting with their menu. I plan to come here again and try some of the other items.”

Their white rice is actually sticky rice and never dry in my experience.There's not much atmosphere in the actual restaurant since it's a big of a hole in the wall, but the food is really good if you have it in restaurant too.”

“I never got a chance to try The Veggie at Lowe Mill - I lived down the street for years but somehow missed them. I did try them in their Madison location. It's a tiny restaurant with a few tables, and I got the vibe that it's more popular for takeout and delivery. I got a steak bowl and it tasted great - I loved the chimichurri! Their garlic hummus was yummy too. The Beyond "steak" was really an amazing dupe for actual steak. I definitely ate too much but I was just excited to be able to go into a restaurant and just order right off the menu without worrying too much about the contents. They have a variety of soy free and gluten free options, which is lovely. I'm puzzled by the amount of people complaining that the food is unhealthy and fried...why order something fried if you're going to complain about eating fried food? They have a lot of variety on the menu. It's a vegan restaurant that has alternatives to non-vegan foods, it's not a health food store. If I want to eat super healthy I just eat at home. Adding it to my monthly rotation when I just can't deal with cooking/want to splurge and eat out!”

“I ordered a cake from Edgar's in Madison for my daughter's Birthday. I wanted something that looked classic. I checked all of the cake options online at their website. I selected the "Sophia" cake and then called to place my order. The Edgar's staff was very friendly and helpful. I wanted lemon buttercream between the layers and a Happy Birthday inscription on top of the cake. The cake was ready on the day and time promised and it turned out beautiful! Everyone raved about how delicious the cake tasted. The cake and icing were both very light and not heavy at all. The lemon buttercream between the layers was perfect. I highly recommend Edgar's and very highly recommend the "Sophia" cake.”

“*** 1/10/24 Update: I stopped by this Subway after the remodel was complete, the people are still nice but be mindful that the meat and cheese section has a metal cover ovet it, so you cannot see what they are putting on your sandwich. One of the sandwiches I ordered was a turkey and the person who ate that sandwich stated that there was turkey and salami on the sandwich (not what they ordered and not something they normally eat) so they ended up getting ill. Because this location has this barrier that is not typical for a Subway I do not think I will be returning to this location.This Subway was in the middle of a remodel when I went in. The staff was super nice, the food was fresh, and the store looks and feels clean.”
