Early girlfriend dinner tonight. Neither one of us had been here before. Got there at 4:30 and were immediately greeted by Christian, our waiter. He was amazing! Very personable, professional, and attentive. I had the 10 layer eggplant and it was delicious. I have another meal waiting because of the generous serving. My friend had the carbonara, and she loved it. She also ordered a marguearita pizza to go for her husband. It looked so yummy! We will definitely be back. Great food, service and atmostphere.
We had one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. This was a special birthday dinner for me & my husband, & I chose this restaurant. It was our family of 5 adults & 2 children. We did not know this casual restaurant took reservations, because it did not state on the website that you needed them. Plus, we got there at 4:20 PM on a Saturday, before the restaurant even opened. I went up to the hostess to ask for a table seating. She was totally rude, did not greet me & say welcome to SaZa's, had a frown on her face, & asked me if I had a reservation; & when I said no, she rudely said come back at 4:30 when they open (even though there were people seated at the bar already. Then my son went up to her about 5 minutes later & got the same total rudeness, she would not even take our names down, & did not say how long the wait would be. We got the same result when we went up a 3rd time, & it was another hostess who was also totally rude, did not smile, & would not take our names or tell us how long of a wait. There were plenty of empty tables, but we received no help at all. The whole upstairs was empty, & yet they would not seat us there, either. We even saw the manager come to the front, & he did nothing but say something to the hostesses. When you come into a restaurant, the hostess should smile, say welcome to SaZa's, ask if you have you dined with them before, take our name down, & let us know how long the wait will be. We sat there in the front for 30 minutes, & they did nothing & never took our names or anything. We called another Italian restaurant, got an immediate reservation for our birthday dinner, & they said they would fit us right in for our birthdays, when we said what happened at SaZa's and how awful we were treated. We walked out of SaZa's, & never got to try the food. We emailed the owner, & never received a reply back. So, needless to say, we will never go to this restaurant again to even try the food.
