“Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“I don’t always get my morning coffee at Heritage House, but when I do, it’s a great start to my day. The staff there remember the regulars and their orders, and recently when we thought we might change it up and try something else…but weren’t sure if we would like it…they made us a small sample so we could try before we buy. And it worked because we got it the next time, haha. It gets really busy at times, so check the parking lot, but highly recommend!”

“I have been to Heritage House so many times as a student in Tuscaloosa. All the locations have a different vibe, but i especially love the Towncenter location because of its cozy, warm, eclectic atmosphere. The service is always great and I usually never have to wait long for my coffee. I would say that the food is one of the best parts because they make their pastries from scratch and all of them are delicious! Their kitchen food is wonderful as well! I would recommend the breakfast burrito (put the jalapeño ranch on it) with turkey sausage and an iced caramel macchiato”

After having one of the worst experiences ever at Dillard's Chophouse the last time we were in town for parents weekend, we decided to go on a recommendation from a friend and give Forte a try. I wish we had gotten the recommendation sooner. From the minute we sat down until we paid the bill the experience was excellent. While the food was outstanding, the service was even better. Our server Daniel was extremely attentive and not once did we have to ask for anything. He had quite a few tables but made us feel as if we were his only one. Every drink and dish we ordered were outstanding and we've decided that from now on, anytime we are in town we will be sure to eat here (we've already made our reservation for when we return in September). if you want the best Tuscaloosa has to offer this is your place. Amd if the manager of Dillard's happens to read this you may want to make a reservation and ask for Daniel....I think you could learn something.”

“My first Waffle House experience and it was fantastic! For starters, not only was the staff very friendly for an early Saturday morning, but they were all very polite as well. We sat down and ordered quickly, and our server was on top of everything. Our food came out fairly quickly and everything tasted great. I also paid attention to how friendly the staff was with the cool while they submitted orders and waited for their orders to go out. There was no shouting, they were polite, they weren't in each other's way and they were working quickly and efficiently. The cashier was sweet and friendly, and everyone thanked us as we left. I'm sure this restaurant gets very busy during the year, as they are on The Strip in Tuscaloosa, but I'm sure they're just as quick, efficient and awesome then as they were on an early Saturday morning. I will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Tuscaloosa, and hopefully all other Waffle Houses deliver the same experience as this one did. Thank you to everyone for such a great experience! ?”

The reason for the 4 stars for service is it took almost an hour to get our food after we ordered and the appetizer came with our food. If the server had communicated a reason for the delay, it would not have been so bad.Overall, the experience was great and I enjoyed the shrimp and chorizo fettuccine.”

“I've said it before and I will continue to say it, even a bad Hardee's is a good Hardee's. They would really have to mess it up to make it a bad one. I really enjoyed the fried egg you can now put on any biscuit they offer. I enjoy making them at home but now that I know I can just go to Hardee's, it's game over for the at home version now. Service was great and the employees were very attentive to their customers. The bathroom was clean and smelled good. Eating area was nice and tidy. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend this location.”

“Arby's has my favorite fast food cheese sticks and the jalapeno bites are also very good for a quick snack. These items are almost always served and delivered fresh even at the drive thru. Also their turkey sandwich is very good as a fast food option.”

“My friend treated me to breakfast today. I ordered a biscuit and gravy again. My friend ordered a Hardee's breakfast platter with bacon. It comes with grits, eggs, your choice of sausage, bacon, or ham. The grits were soupy and so was the gravy. The eggs are artificial but ok. The bacon was crispy. When the gravy is soupy, it's just not the same. I ordered a Frisco breakfast sandwich and it is nothing like the picture. There is hardly any meat or cheese on it. It's not much more than a grilled cheese sandwich, if that.”

“Visited for the first time today and it was a great trip! I purchased the strawberry peach blast and the key lime pop tart. Both were excellent! “As I was looking for an authentic Mexican place, I came upon Loco Lupes. I wanted queso and on the DoorDash website, this was the only place other than Socal, Chiptotle, and Central Mesa. Although those places are great, I do not like their queso very much. I have never heard of Loco Lupes but decided to give it a go. Thank goodness I did because that was one of the best quesos that I have ever had. I also got a cheese quesadilla and salsa. Both were great and I will for sure order this again. 10/10!”

“I came here for the first time last night. I really enjoyed it and I would come back. The soups were amazing! The rest of the food was classic buffet dishes done right, such as bourbon chicken, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, etc. Hibachi was fresh and tasty. The buffet area was tidy and clean. One thing though is if you're coming for dinner, I would recommend coming in before 8:00 pm because that's when the buffet area food is the most fresh. If you come after 8:00 pm, I would stick to the made-to-order hibachi, sushi, soups and desserts.”
