The chef is very kind and knowledgeable and he is happy to share all tricks and tips to extend our knowledge outside of the menu as well. Leilei is very friendly and sweet as well. Overall an amazing experience, can’t wait to return here for next sessions and more“

“More like 3.5 for us but that bread alone is with .5 stars hahaHad the beef stew with bread so I could take home the stew.It was made with riblets that were slow cooked and very tender. The soup was good, can't say it was my favorite, but I would consider eating it again if I were there. The bread. Can we talk about this bread? My goodness the bread was fantastic. I bet someone here knows where they get it. Imo ALL Bahn Mi should be served with this bread. It had a super thin, but crisp crust all around, very crisp but thin. This is the kind of bread that delivers the crisp without slicing up your mouth like bait. The inside was fluffy and soft...superb.The Bun Cha Giao Thit Nuoung (noodles with BBQ pork and imperial rolls) came with a fair amount of meaty and tender pork, flash grilling it would really elevate the flavor because it has good flavor. The sauce could use a little more fish sauce. The purple drink is a taro drink made in house. It tastes ok but the taro which settles at the bottom is very gritty. I think they should make it into a paste before using it in a drink. Like the taro paste you get at Bambu or what is served in Vietnamese desserts.“

“Delightful Dining Experience: A Symphony of Flavors at Everest CuisineMy recent dinner experience at Everest was a delightful culinary journey. The tomato soup was a standout, boasting a rich flavor profile without the usual tartness found elsewhere. The palak paneer, with its creamy texture and tender paneer, was a true indulgence for the senses. However, the real star of the show was the veg momo platter. Not only was it beautifully presented, but it also delivered on taste and portion size. My only suggestion for improvement would be to vary the fillings across the different momo types, as they were all uniformly delicious but lacked individuality. Despite this minor critique, I'm eager to return and would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family.Vegetarian options: Vegetarians paradiseKid-friendliness: Kids should be comfortable with north indian dishes and bread.“

“Nestled within the bustling streets is a charming food truck, owned by a person hailing from Nepal. From the very first bite of their tantalizing chili momos and aromatic chow mein, I was enraptured. Week after week, I found myself drawn back to savor these delectable dishes. The refreshing tang of fresh lime soda perfectly complements the rich flavors, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, the truck's limited seating poses a minor inconvenience, necessitating patrons to either opt for takeout or enjoy their meal in the comfort of their car. Despite this, the food is reasonably priced, and the spice levels are customizable to suit individual preferences. It's imperative to communicate your desired spice level to ensure a satisfying culinary experience. With each visit, I am reminded of the owner's culinary prowess and their commitment to delivering exceptional flavors. This food truck has undoubtedly earned its place as a cherished dining destination among locals and visitors alike.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options from appetizers to momos to main course.“

“I've been coming here for years and the poké bowls have never disappointed! I enjoy that you can get combinations of bases and that the first scoop of avocado, seaweed salad, and crab meat are at no additional charge ($1.50 for additional scoops)! Definitely a bang for your buck. The service is always a pleasant and fast interaction. Overall, the ambiance is great. The inside of the establishment has always been clean and well kept. They also have a great selection of drinks. I've been supporting this business for years and I plan to continue to enjoy their poké bowls for years to come, highly recommend!“

“YUM. Can I just say... YUM. Okay, here's the rest: I met a friend for dinner here on a weeknight around 5:30 or so & it was perfect. No people. Well, maybe one or two other tables of peoolebut in general, it was early enough to beat crowds (which there later came to be). We were seated right away & ordered using the digital ordering menu system. The place had plenty of seats with a variety of table sizes to accommodate parties of various sizes. Despite ordering digitally, their staff was still very attentive, stopping in to check on our needs often. It was very nice to have someone stay on top of my water needs. I ordered the curry beef udon sizzling plate & it was sizzelicious! Everything was nice & fresh & the meat cooked up quickly so I dove right in. The udon noodles were perfectly textured & I liked the corn which was a fun texture to add to the plate. For those who've never been, this is a place you want to visit in clothes that you don't care getting covered in the smell of oil all over. That sizzle gets all up in your clothes, your hair, your skin if you get your face in there, so don't dress to the nines if you're planning a visit (or do if you love the smell of oil, I guess. You do you.) This place is comparable to Pepper Lunch in Milpitas - love both places. Now I'm hungry.“

“Nice restaurant. The menu has all the typical dishes and more. We just tried a few things on their menu, and everything was good. The wontons in the wor wonton soup was really good. There are lots of veggies in it which I like. We also had the pan-fried pork buns. Crispy bottom. The filling was just ground pork, which was good. We just ordered a couple of vegetable items. Dry string beans and eggplant in garlic sauce. Both were great. The portion size was large, which I appreciate. Lots to take home. I will be going back.“

“If you're craving Cambodian cuisine, make sure to visit Angkor Chef, a fantastic Cambodian restaurant located in downtown San Jose. Owned by Channy Laux - Chef and her husband, they've been serving up delicious dishes for about 6 months now. Tina and I were thoroughly impressed by their excellent service and mouthwatering food. The restaurant boasts a sleek and modern design, and we particularly loved the beef skewers (សាច់គោចាកាក់). We definitely will come back for more. #supportlocalbusiness #khmerfood“

“Very delicious food. Atmosphere was great, the place felt nice, almost formal, and the service was attentive. They serve you green tea in addition to any drink you want, which was a nice touch. Be aware that the meals seem to be eaten family style, as there is a lot of food for what you pay for. The orange beef and prawn chow mein plus meat dumplings was enough for a small family. It was very delicious, I will definitely be returning!“

“The most delicious but long-awaited pork pan-fried buns. The crispy and thin skin is covered with full of soup. Recommended! The fried cabbage tastes good, but I wish it had less oil and salt. The scallion pancakes are poppy. I won’t order them again next time?. The crab meat dumplings are okay!Credit cards are accepted, but discounts apply when paying with cash!“

“Small cute, hood service. I had the sashimi special. It was very good. Fresh buttery selection by the chef . Ordered the veggie tempura. Didn't like the breading or the dipping sauce: veggie selection was good. Miso soup was ok but 3 very small squares of tofu. I prefer a more robust recipe. Ordered a very nice orange roll to go. Again salmon was yummy. Price seemed ok for lunch. Since I enjoyed the roll/ sashimi I will visit again.“

“Overall, what stands out is the unique dishes and Japanese style seating option. Our group thought certain dishes were interesting and good enough that we would return. We're not rushing to go back, but we would return for the right occasion. Service is just ok ~Details~ Our waiter was not very personable or helpful when we asked if we had ordered enough food. There is a 90 minute time limit but frankly we finished our food in an hour and no one kicked us out. We stayed to chat and no one said anything about it, we had to flag someone down to get our check. On the pricier side for the service and the ambiance, as it was $40 on average per person. ~Dishes~ Really liked 1) Sake harami nitsuke braised salmon belly in soy-sake sauce - A solid favorite for all. 2) Tako salad (octopus) - All of us liked it, dressing was divine 3) Gindara munieru (pan fried cod with plum-garlic sauce) - 2 of us thought this was a great dish, one of us thought the sauce was too sour. 4) Kamo yuzu (grilled duck with tomato-yuzu-pepper salsa) - Unique, most of us liked it 5) Age nasu tofu (fried eggplant and tofu) - Delicious, soft silky tofu. Not our favorites 1) Mushroom tempura - All of us agreed it was a disappointment. We wanted more mushroom flavor out of it, but truthfully it did not taste like anything. They had matcha salt on the side (we think it was matcha salt) but that didn't really help either unfortunately. 2) Mentaiko fushion pizza (spicy cod roe, snow crab, mushrooms & bacon) - All of us agreed it was a disappointment. It was cheesier than expected. It had very little cod roe (we could not taste it) and there was only scattered bacon. The flavors did not meld as well together as we hoped for. No one in our group of 4 would recommend this dish. We had to place sauce on it to make it more flavorful.“

“Darla Cafe is one of the best Asian-Fusion brunch spots I’ve been to in the Bay Area. My favorite was Aina in SF if the OG foodies remember it. Darla may be my new favorite for Asian-fusion brunch.Their loco moco is a good find and one that I like outside of Hawaii. The matcha pancakes and French toast were made perfectly. Plating is impressive here. The drinks are solid— the yok lor coffee woke me up for the day. I can tell they took care and gave high attention to detail in crafting their menu and flavors here. The inside has a clean aesthetic look and there is outdoor patio seating perfect for the spring time. There is a family feel from the staff.Darla Cafe is near Hakone Gardens. Highly recommend a visit!Ordered:Loco Moco #1Darla’s French ToastRose berry lemonadeYok Lor coffeeMatcha pancakes“

“My cowoker had picked up the spicy chicken cutlet bento box from Orange Square for me last week and it was delicious! The spicy chicken was juicy, flavor and crunchy. “We are obsessed with this place. Maybe we're just picky, but after living in a few different states we never found a Thai place in the bay we considered "amazing". This place is amazing! Not only is the food sooo tasty, the portions are generous and prices are good. Our go-to's are the pad kee mao, Panang curry, and prik king. We have also had their basil fried rice and it was delicious. Usually Pad Thai in the area has too much fish sauce for our liking, but based on the good reviews we might have to try that next. Will definitely be back!“

“The food was exceptional. It would be a go-to for something to ease your hunger as soon as possible, as most of the orders are efficiently delivered. No doubt, as foodies, me and my family enjoyed the food overall, but what was significant was the number of vegetarian options. In Korean cuisine, there aren’t so many of them… However, at BibimBowl, we found around as many no-meat options as meaty options in each category. For people who prefer to get something with no gluten, they provide a wide range of gluten-free dishes as well.Everything, from service to food to ambience, was great. It felt welcoming, like something that would stay with you forever. Must visit!“

“Santouka has been a staple of Mitsuwa for years, long before the pandemic. I always enjoyed their ramen -- no frills, nothing fancy, but hits the ramen spot. The bowls/portion size seemed to have gotten a bit smaller over time and are more expensive now, but such is shrinkflation. I typically like to get the shoyu ramen, which comes with two slices of chashu, a piece of seaweed and some green onions & bamboo shoots. They also have combos where you can get a small rice bowl alongside your ramen -- the salmon roe one is always a favorite of mine, but there's a few options including natto if you're a fan. I took my order to go on this occasion, and it was well packaged -- the ramen noodles were separate from the soup & toppings. And the rice bowl was in its own container. The plastic bag was tied tightly so nothing would tip over/spill during transport. And overall taste was still great for takeout and cost me $24 for the medium size ramen combo with salmon rice bowl. Not too bad for ramen in the Bay. Soup was a bit salty to drink, so I tend to save some for another meal and dilute it down by adding more noodles & water. Line wasn't too long this time around, and the orders came out quickly (they'll call your number). Staff member taking the orders was very friendly, but the one handing out orders to pick up was not so much. They used to be cash-only but now they take card & apple pay after the pandemic era. Seating is food-court style if you chose to dine in. Parking in the plaza can be a struggle but usually better chance if you wait for someone just finished their grocery run.“

“I really liked the pate in the cold cut banh mi. They spread it on thick. I added a fried egg for an extra $2. The egg was well done (no runny yolk). $22 for the banh mi and Thai iced tea. Felt like the Thai iced tea was mostly ice so I'd probably ask for less ice if I ever order it again. I'd come back if I need a quick meal.“
