“This Local Kitchen version of The Melt has about 2/3 of the offerings of a standalone location but most of the popular items. The quality of the food is maybe a touch below the standalone location in Palo Alto but that's splitting hairs. MeltBurger: 1/3 pounder (supposedly Angus & American Wagyu), covered with cheddar, and jalapeños + pickles + sauce. Bun is nicely toasted and doesn't fall apart. Solid burger -- top 5 in the bay. Swiss 'n' Shroom MeltBurger: Substitutes Swiss for the cheddar. Includes spinach, mushrooms, onions & ranch. I drop the ranch and add tomato at no extra charge. When I get home, I add spicy mustard. My version is a fantastic burger; the original is good. Three cheese classic: Cheddar, muenster and fontina cheeses on french bread. The bread is crusty and the cheese is melty goodness. The definition of comfort food. Not a fan of the regular fries, the sweet potato fries, or the garlic parmesan fries. Every time I've ordered they've been too soft and not as flavorful as I would expect. If this Melt is closer, no reason to go to a "real" one“

“First time at this chain burger place. Went in because it said the burger was rated the best by vote, thinking, really and better than In-n-Out?Well, I had the Santa Barbara Char and would say it was heavier or more loaded than In-n-Out, but this was much better than other non-In-n-Out burgers, like Shake Shack, 5 Guys, ... I would place this place just about at the level of In-n-Out.I did like the multiple options in Peppers- jalapeños, yellow chili peppers (like In-n-Out), and I think Italian pepperoncini.“

“This stop was a 5-star review until I entered the restroom.The facility appeared very clean with only minor and recent messes visible when approaching the building.The service was fast and efficient and the employee was methodically polite.My burger was fresh and my curly fries were very good. Since I enjoy tiny and crunchy fries...all good as under the top pieces were all tiny, crispy pieces. Other customers may not like this as I do.The lobby was clean with only minor issues which were from very recent customers.My one issue was the restroom. It was sloppy and the sink was gross.I came here because there are no Jack In The Box restaurants from where I am from. I also chose here because I refuse to pay an 18% surcharge like at "The Counter" which is a burger place where a burger would be $25 plus.Overall, I enjoyed this visit and would return.“

“Great friendly service. I ordered a patty melt last night for takeout and found out it was an Italian job instead because it was meatless with mushrooms instead. I came back the next day and they made me a new patty melt after I showed them a picture of what I got. This place is great for a late night snack and they open late!“

“Have been driving past this place for a while and finally stopped by over the weekend. Went in to order when it opened. 2 customers ahead of me. Ordered to go: - Mushroom Swiss Burger (accompanied by a serving of fries) - Plain Hot Dog - Chili Hot Dog - Order of fries - Vanilla Shake Short wait time - around 15 - 20 min. Served with containers open so you can put on as many fresh toppings from the large condiment bar as you wanted. Diner is small but clean. It looked like the owner's daughter was helping out that morning and she was doing a great job - cleaned and straightened the counters, checked on the condiment bar to make sure it was clean and filled. I can see where it would be crampt if there were customers eating, waiting for their food or in line to order. But that happens to a popular eatery. Taste: - Mushroom Swiss Burger Yummy, meat cooked just right, bun was grilled but soft, mushrooms were charred to a delicious level, the cheese melted all over the top of the meat. Had a bite (or two) and it was tasty and worth going back. - Plain Hot Dog Great tasting dog and was enjoyed by our picky eater. Liked controlling the amount of condiments on the dog. Loved the taste of the grill on the dog and bun. Not sure what brand of hot dog but they were scrumptious. - Chili Hot Dog Delicious tasting chili smothered on an open faced grilled hot dog. Everyone wanted a taste of the chili because I was going on about how tasty it was. Hard to finish it in one sitting but I stuffed it in. Order of fries One of the bag of fries didn't make it home. Reached over to taste the fries and kept eating. By the time I pulled into the driveway, the bag was empty. Oops. The fries are crisp on the outside, soft on the inside - perfectly cooked fries. Delicious plain or dipped into the chili or in our own home sauces - green onion, bleu cheese, ranch. - Vanilla Shake Whirled up from scoops of real ice cream in a milk shake machine - talk about tasting homemade. Meant to only take a sop but by the time I reached home, only half-full. Oops. Overall Great clean diner, tasty food, delicious offerings, cooked to perfection. Price points were comparable to other burger joints, the amount and quality you receive. Customer service was great - the cook/owner did a great job cooking all the orders, and keeping up with supplies for the front. The cook was friendly, helpful pointing out the condiment bar offerings. Go again? Recommend? Sure bet but probably won't be the courier for the family. They wanted their "full" mean delivered.“

You can refill the soft drinks yourself, and the shakes are served in cups that are the same height as the soft drinks.It's made to order, so you'll have to wait a few minutes. The freshly baked buns are delicious, so go pick them up right away!There was a customer who turned the whole basket upside down as soon as they received it, and the store immediately asked the customer to wait and they would make the same one.With their great attention and service, it's no wonder they're thriving. By mid-afternoon, the drive-thru line stretched to the entrance of the parking lot.“
